Great food - especially if you are looking for something else outside of the usual chinese/thai/european favourites. Also loved the yoghurt drink (Doogh - similar to salty lassi or turkish ayran). Service was outstanding, but dropped a bit when the restaurant filled up quickly after 7.30, and waiting staff looked a bit overwhelmed, so we did not order desert (but we will next time). Will be back!

The staff always make very good suggestions. They were very willing to accommodate dietary requirements.

food and service very good, however we were all hungry after dinner. Serves too small, if we didn't have the bread, we would have been starving.

Delicious desserts. Ambient lighting and music made conversation easy.

We felt pressured by the waitress to order more food, as she indicated that the share platter entree that we'd ordered was not enough for 4 people. That was a bit disappointing as we wanted to save ourselves for mains and desserts instead.

About The Persian Restaurant

Take a magic carpet ride Taste authentic Persian cuisine and glimpse the Middle East in Brisbane’s inner west. This eatery will have you dreaming of magic carpet rides and busy spice markets as you sit down at long banqueting tables and ease back into colourful cushions. A platter called the ‘grand sampler’ (the name speaks for itself) is a great way to start, with lots of tasty dips accompanied by house-made flatbread. Then try one of the rich kebabs for a super-tasty main. Make sure you save room for one of their decadent sweets. We love their saffron ice cream topped with Persian fairy floss. After dinner retire to the four-poster takht, covered with cushions and patterned rugs for a drink and some digestion time… just close your eyes and dream of the Middle East. Best dish: Fesenjan - chicken with pomegranate and ground walnuts with saffron rice
