I was disappointed with my meal. I ordered the barramundi with risotto, it was too dry needed a sauce and the risotto was probably precooked and was hard and dry. My friend ordered the mixed meat platter, again very dry with no sauce on the side. The positive was we were served by a lovely friendly waiter

The atmosphere was quaint, being located within the Holiday Inn itself, however it made for a quiet environment for my friends and I. The food was delicious (we shared the Mediterranean Plate, Eye Fillet and Risotto), and for dessert we had sticky date pudding and mango cheesecake (a must try!). Besides the mash potato on the eye fillet plate tasting packaged, it was definitely a nice place to relax and eat with friends ????

Happy with the service but foods are not good. The steaks are overcooked and the fish is not fresh. I wouldn’t pay full price for sure. Overall the foods are worse than pub foods.

Wonderful surf and turf included a Delicious glass of Australian wine your choice of red or white we tried the Chardonnay by Tedchinni(?) I cant remember the name of the winery, but it’s well known in Australia and easy to drink- not a heavy Chardonnay but easy to drink! I’m a foodie originally from California and Seattle, now Maui& I love Indian food so I tried their butter chicken which wasn’t as spicy as I would normally like it but it was fine. My mother took the surf and turf which was only 3995 including the six dollar wine glass (The head waiter was nice enough to give us a 50% off coupon even!!! Because we had booked two days in advance for a 630 dinner through this site call the fork) my mango cheesecake was good with several strawberries on it the presentation was pretty but the US pilot for cheesecakes is a bit different and here the cheese is more mild and fluffy. The cake was not too sweet so I think that is a healthier option and it was certainly large enough to share! Prices are amazing considering this is the location where a hotel is 350 a night on Saturdays but only 135 a night on a Sunday night if you pre-pay without any cancellations allowed. It’s a little bit more for a room with a view or with a second bed which we needed so we ended up having to stay somewhere other than this holiday inn where the Playfair Terrace is located. The value is definitely there and the service friendly and perfect

It's located inside Holiday Inn Old Sydney, the Rocks, superb location. Food is so so but good value. However the service is excellent.

we had the lamb ribs and Mediterranean grilled plates, both were beautifully done. The eye fillet steak is okay, more interesting choice of gravies and griiled veggies rather than the boring steamed ones would have improve the dish. Overall, service was very good.
