Excellent
Really should be using BIODEGRADABLE cutlery. I witnessed plastic cutlery going overboard :0( other than that it was an amazing experience. Bugs were a little small though.
The seafood was fantastic. Very fresh and high quality. The prawns are great, however was unhappy with the size of the bugs served to us. The menu also said 3 bugs on our platter and we only received 2. $90 was a bit steep for the amount of seafood served up, but we left very happy.
An amazing addition to the Brisbane dining scene. Lovely staff (albeit maybe a couple were a little green) and fantastic super fresh seafood. It’s BYO everything to go with prawns, bugs, sashimi and oysters. Can’t wait to go back! Casual at its best!
This place was recommended to us and it is one place We will be back. The food was fresh and tasty. There are no airs and graces it just you get what you see.
Just a lovely spot, the freshest of seafood and the staff were friendly and helpful. It will be amazingly better when Covid restrictions are lifted insofar as salt, utensils, water etc. Also, maybe allowing patrons to stay longer would be great. All in all a lovely experience.
The one hour time frame made us feel very hurried, no interaction with staff so no information/outline on how restaurant run - Eg prawn shells removal etc. wonderful concept, but more plannning/information required on website etc...
Bloody love this place! Such a great concept! Super simple - big platter of the best seafood - no frills or spills. BYO drinks (corkage charged but glasses and ice bucket provided). Recommend taking bread, butter and a knife plus a plate or board. Plastic forks provided (please switch to wooden/bamboo then you’ll be the best place on earth). That’s all you need! So good!
This dinner location was a great find, I was recommended it by my room mates & it did not disappoint. Great service, awesome atmosphere & delicious fresh seafood!
The food was delicious, super friendly service and a great location. Can't wait to go back! Would recommend bringing your own bread or chippies.
We enjoyed our evening of beautiful seafood last night. The weather was perfect and it was a lovely way to spend time with friends in a casual atmosphere. We did bring salads, wine and bread to complete our meals.
The staff is very nice! The food really good, we enjoyed a lot having dinner at Prawnstead. We ordered the most expensive pack, oysters, moreton prawns, salmon sashimi and more, very fresh and yummy
Awesome place to have the freshest seafood in Brisbane. Going there again next weekend!!
Lovely setting! Beautiful view! Delicious platters and wonderful friendly service!
The seafood is fresh off the trawler. The prawns were watery though which I thought weird for fresh. BYO but drinking champagne from the plastic wine glasses supplied did not feel right. Most likely due to safety reasons on the boat or pier. You can take your own salads, sauces, and bread rolls. People dining near us asked for plates and were advised the Prawnster does not have plates. So BYO plates also it you take your own sides. Otherwise use your fingers, plastic fork, and paper towel supplied.
Great service and the seafood was nice and fresh. Was a great venue for something different and good atmosphere.
Lovely experience for my dad’s 70th! The food was delicious and lots of it. It was fun to dine on the trawler and feel the boat moving. The service was quick , friendly, and accomodating. We could have happily stayed for a couple of hours, munching and chatting.
Prawnster is a great concept in a nice location The quality of the seafood is good but expensive for the size of the servings. The platter for 2 is barely for 2. There’s no plates, no cutlery & no water offered. Combine this with a 1 hour sitting, there’s lots of improvement opportunities.
We were greeted by Sam, a nice young man who chatted to us... his dad owns the business. The seafood was top quality, infact I had the best oysters I've ever had! It's not too busy at the moment but this place will catch on. Good price, service, setting and food
The fresh prawns and bugs were delicious. Best I have eaten recently. Nicely served on stainless steel 2 tier stands, with ample buckets for shells and clean finger bowls. The staff were very friendly and efficient, and the tables were very clean and shiny. Hand washing facilities with running water were located before the entry to the boat. Relaxing atmosphere enjoying the sunset and then the lights. We will definitely return soon!
A bit different to the usual sitting on a trawler eating seafood. It’s pretty basic prawns, bugs, sashimi. But it was good . Plain & simple. If you want salads or others take your own which is ok. Service was attentive.
