Shown to a table and eventually took order. No water provided. Starter arrived but left us with no plates. 3 mins later, main arrived when we had asked for a gap!! Steak was good but service was appalling. We had been there on Mon too with family and equally bad. MANAGEMENT need to hire more staff as it is not fair on the young staff to be rushed and have grumpy customers. Will try Last Drop again instead.
Food was good but service was dreadful. Had to look for a waitress to take the main order and gave up trying to order a dessert. No water on the table either. Noisy due to quiz night but quiz was fun.
Positives. Really great service from everyone except kitchen manager. Steak ordered medium came out almost blue rare. 5 plates with chips all barely cooked and soggy. The barramundi was cooked to death and my husbands steak burger was the most tasteless thing he had had all year. I had prawn and scallops dish but didn’t want salsa as I hate cumcumber . Chef said too bad had to argue with waitress to just bring prawns and scallops which were supposed to be seared. 3 prawn and 3 scallops came out $21 if I want some tomatoe I had to pay for it another $12 . The prawns were simply defrosted and had been slightly heated they had never been near a searing plate in their lives and tasted awful the scallops were seared for about 10 seconds each side and completely raw not opaque inside actually couldn’t eat them. Our waitress was lovely as were all the floor staff but the food was way below standard. The table behind us left 3 of their 8 meals untouched and also said they were tasteless and cold (mushroom risotto). Seriously if a pub can’t cook a chip they need to get out of the pub business
Great friendly place. Make a reservation so not to be disappointed. Food always great. Everything about this place is perfect....can get a bit noisy if sitting inside but there’s a nice outdoor garden area too.
Great family friendly place. Always enjoy the steaks here. Generous portions for pizzas, however the quesadillas was very small in portion size for the price.
It is a pub, but the food was great, the staff were all helpful and pleasant (they wanted to work there) so would go back in a heartbeat. Great local!
Great greeting at the "wait to be seated." Tried to engage the bar staff while they were preparing my drinks which was hard work so gave up. I ordered the Schuhuan Squid which needed more Schuhuan. My friends grilled Fish and chips was really nice so really glad we had agreed to share. The Nasi Goreng was decent portion but we expected nothing less being on the higher end of the price range. Overall we are keen to come back to try the rest of the menu.
Good service and atmosphere, drinks were expensive, food was good.
Food was good as usual, service was not up to the normal standard, not sure why, took ages for orders to be taken, then only after trying to get the attention of the staff.
Tasty food that came quite quickly after ordering which was great especially with kids! Only down fall was we waited a while for our coffees to arrive. They came one at a time.
The staff was lovely however there wasnt enough, long lines to get drinks. We had 6 people 3 dishes where great but some of the food was bland, rice, fish and arancini balls. Apart from that staff where lovely and was a good atomsphere
Would be good if they had more specials to choose from. Not just fish on its own is $8 plus $5 for either chips, salad etc on its own.Should do whole meals and more selection.
Delicious meal and definitely value for money. We were waiting to be seated for longer than expected but wasn’t enough to put us off coming again. Very nice and especially great on Tuesday when kids meals were half price and the steak was only $15. Will go again.
Harry Potter quiz night. Was quite full, tables quite close which was a bit rubbish, lots of people obviously so lines to order were a bit long. Table service wasn’t really provided because they couldn’t with all the tables, so service was a bit of a let down. Asked staff for salt & she said she’d sort it and never came back. Food is pretty good here, enjoyed our meals. Thanks
All the staff were so lovely! I had the barramundi which was absolutely amazing and my partner had the burger special which he said was delicious and very satisfying. Would definitely go again!
Everything was almost perfect from the place, parking and the steaks we ordered, except the crew forget to serve the entree as he forgot to punch it in, but he is apologetic so it is fine.
Nothing flash on this visit to The Quarie. Had the tasting plate to share - whats with the pieces of toast? The chorizo was not flavoursome - there are some great varieties out there, unfortunately what was served wasn't one of them. Couple of house keeping issues - blowflys. You know the type, the really big ones....keep an eye out for them when inside - and I know this is Australia and we have flies, particularly at this time of the year - it's not a good look - when they are trapped between you and the window buzzing around. Little bit slow with meet and greet - should have been more staff on duty. This is my perspective on my visit to The Quarie.
The quality of the food was not as good as it has been. Hopefully a covid hangover
Staff were absolutely delightful and so helpful. Music could be down a couple of decibels, otherwise thank you very much. Been before, will be back!!
We were a bit disappointed tonight, attending as a table of 8. The service was shocking comparative to the number of people in the establishment. We ordered drinks and food together after a lengthy wait and the food came out before the drinks. We followed up on our drinks (had to ask after approx 25min wait) and were told the order had been overlooked and they were apologetic. We ordered a second round of drinks toward the end of the meal and the same thing happened. We asked staff twice regarding the drinks (observing an average 1-2 patrons standing at the bar at any given time during the wait period) and still waited over 25 minutes - for 10 of those minutes, we watched our drinks sitting on the bar :-/ The food was good but a bit cold, noting 5/8 people had the ribs special which was great value. Although the staff were lovely and apologised numerous times for the lack of service, it still left a negative vibe due to the lack of service. Not trying to be negative here but there's a lot of competition locally! I think staff would benefit from a bit more structure in their servicing, especially as we spent most our night waiting on food/drinks.
