Octopus dish was amazing and fresh. Strawberry spritz was unreal. Will come again.

Huge portions! Service was fast too, and good came out all at the same time which is nice even though we were a big group. Truffle fries a bit soggy and burger was pretty good but not the best.

The big groups that were in meant that lunch took a lot longer than normal - then the group all wanted to pay individually which we then had to line up behind?!

Love the kitchen sink salad - thanks for accommodating and putting it with grilled chicken!

The Rook serves good food and drinks but it just a tad too pricey in my opinion.

Staff were very boring, no conversation, very awkward and passive. Food was AMAZING though :)

Eclectic decor. Happy, attentive staff. Noisy yet fun atmosphere. Will definitely go again

Cocktails are fun and creative. It gets pretty busy so worth booking ahead. Love the secret, unassuming location - much better when the top is open, a little loud and stuffy when its closed. Great vibe and the lobster lettuce cups and truffle fries are yum!

About The Rook

The CBD's hottest watering hole A rooftop hideaway located on York St, high above the hustle of Sydney’s CBD - that's The Rook. This cosily lit establishment is always abuzz with thirsty city-goers hankering for a well deserved bev. The drinks list is fab, and the menu is plush with freshly caught lobsters, gourmet burgers and a range of bar bites. Fast becoming the watering hole for city-dwellers and gin aficionados alike, The Rook is a bar that tries not to take itself too seriously. Best dish: lone ranger burger with pulled spiced brisket, slaw & corn.
