Service was very ordinary. Food was well cooked however quite overpriced for a pub meal

This place doesn’t have table service ...guests need to go to the bar to make order. Very small dish for 34 dollars, very casual, not cheap, only good for parma lovers and beer .. we come usually to this place in summer to get a glass of wine , sit outside, enjoy beautiful view. Can be extremely noisy in summer, particularly on weekends.not best for food.

You order and pay at the bar and the menu offers a good range of choices without being too many. All the meals were good with generous portions ranging from the fish and chips to the curry to the grilled salmon. Any pub that can do a good curry is great sign that those in the kitchen know what they are doing.

Very nice, but thought there could be a few more main selections for my 90 year old mother, there was really only the fish and chips that she could think of having. A little upmarket for the older person who may like a roast or something simpler.

Staff were helpful and friendly. We six could find no fault with anything. As we all want to pay separately we are pleased with the system of ordering and paying at the bar.

The meal was quite good; however, seating near the doors and windows needs to be avoided at this time of the year because it is very cold and uncomfortable. It is always a lovely space otherwise.

Food was very nicely presented menu was good except no roast of the day ie: plain food for elderly person. Deserts were lovely but a bit pricy at $17

We have been to the royal hotel a lot of time for lunch and dinner and enjoyed the food. We went last night and tried out the winter special for $32.50 each person for 2 courses and a house wine or beer. I was disappointed in the amount of food that was given as the meals were half the size of what you would normally get. So it’s not really a special when you making the meal smaller. I wouldn’t have the winter special again, feeling ripped off..... 😏
