Excellent
Really enjoyed the food
We had a fantastic dinner here while on holidays in Hobart Great food and service brilliant Gluten free option even had a GF roti Would highly recommended
Service was a little slow but it was a busy Friday night when we dined there. Food was very good and very filling - no room for desert. Definitely one of the better Indian restaurants in Hobart.
My booking went from 3 to 7 people not a problem - management was happy to oblige. Service and food was excellent -will definitely recommend this venue to friendd
The food was fantastic and it was a very nice very clean restaurant and the owners were very nice . We would definitely go back again and again, a great find
Food and service was excellent. Will certainly recommend this restaurant to friends
Service with a huge smile was impeccable! Food was outstanding - mango ice cream dessert was to die for! Warm, friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Very authentic. Loved it.
Food was excellent, staff were initally attentive and then left us to enjoy our meal. Early dinners are best if you like a quieter setting. We will return!
We have been to Saffron everytime we come to Hobart and this time we took our friends who live in Hobart and they absotuely loved the food, the service and the general atomsphere of the restaurant. So very pleased they liked out pick of restaurant for tea!!!
Lovely and warm inside on a cold winter night. Banquet was great lots of variety and something for everyone. Staff were friendly and professional Would definitely recommend to family and friends. Pls support these local restaurants... booking online was super easy.
Very kind and friendly people, lovely food. Excellent evening. Highly recommended. Good value for money as well. Also a nice spacious place to bring a family if you want to.
Excellent restaurant , although a little pricy, rice at $ 9.00 a serve was to expensive, good quality food at the end of the day. Outdoor recommend saffron to family and friends.
Great food, friendly service!
Excellent restaurant which I have used many times in the past. I will continue to do so
The food was excellent. Good wine list. Very reasonably priced. My only complaint was the service - too attentive to the point of intrusion. My suggestions - You don't need to keep asking if the meal is ok; once is enough if you must. Leave people's plates til everyone is finished; clearing up around people still eating is poor service. Ask if the diner wants their coffee with their dessert - don't serve everyone drinks except the person having a dessert who then waits and drinks while everyone else is finished... Small things but they would complement an excellent meal. Cheers.
Service & food was very disappointing
Good for views, food was very average. Service was super slow and we had to wait 15-20 mins between courses.
Great food & service
Excellent Food, and Vegan friendly which is great. Service was a little slow, which is no bother to us as it was a 6:30 booking My Wife and I will be back for a dinner again
The Saffron Waterfront restaurant has an easy to reach location on the waterfront (walking distance from the CBD) and it is reasonably priced. We ordered the Coconut Curry and Channa Masala (vegetarian) which were both delicious - the level of spice in the dishes were prefect and the food was delicious.
15 Hunter Street, 7000, Hobart (TAS), Australia
Spicier than a spice girl!
Located at the gateway to Hobart, the Saffron overlooks the Sullivans cove, a picturesque and historic waterfront. This is where you will find a combo of traditional and authentic dishes, inspired from North Indian and Kashmiri regions.
Take the fam and start by ordering as many entrees as your heart’s desire, there is plenty to pick from. The menu also offers a unique variety of tandoor and curry dishes, if there's any room left after the entree try the malabar curry. To complete your experience, grab a side of biryanis rice and the garlic naan is always a must!
Best dish: Nawabi Korma
