6.5/10Many people were disappointed not to be seated in the area they thought they had booked. No apology or heads-up given.

3.5/10The Smith was very disappointing. We had made a booking 3 weeks in advanced and had no information/ or option on the booking for which area we were sitting in. It had been presumed that as advertised all booking would be seated out in their atrium unless specified otherwise. However this was not the case. Instead we were sat in a corner of a bench (other tables were available the entire time we were there inside). It would be disappointing to know if once restrictions had eased other tables would have been able to book outside and we had been sat here. Some drinks on the menu were unavailable and others we had ordered tasted watered down and warm. Staff were made aware of the situation and offered us some drinks in return. But the inside space still lacked any atmosphere or decorations like the outdoor area. Would we return to The Smith probably not

8.5/10Portion sizes are generous, the service was friendly and the ambience was good. The food was okay overall, however there’s definitely room for improvement in terms of seasoning and love. The slaw was underwhelming (due to the sauce), the parma was an odd texture and many of the snacks - although nice - were under seasoned. We all loved the sweet potato chips (one of the best we’ve had across Melbourne) and enjoyed the calamari as well. They also have a lovely assortment of tasty spritzes.

9.5/10Delicious, superbly cooked and enormous rib eye steaks on half price steak Mondays! Comes with fries, salad and two sauces. We also received a free carafe of soft drink because we booked via The Fork (not sure if that's a regular complimentary offer though). Attentive staff. Highly recommend.

6/10The service was ok on arrival, our waitress was very accommodating & really lovely,I had 4 tacos that were huge (2 would have been fine), they had too much Spanish onion & too much cabbage (I couldn’t roll them & 2 prawns was inadequate), on the plus side the beef & chicken burgers...well received along with the barramundi, delicious. Then we ordered the sticky date dessert...lacking sticky sauce as it was very dry, extra sticky sauce would have helped. Let down...the smell in the shared toilets....not clean ???? Overall wouldn’t go back, I preferred the older menu of Thai food & having shared plates

7/10Delicious meals and were very large in portion size. We had a great table for our family of 6 and the burgers, chicken Parma and prawn tacos were very good. 3 of us had the Rib eye a d it was melt-in-your mouth delicious. Steaks come served with both pepper sauce and bearnaise, served with rocket salad and fries. Especially great on Mondays when they offer half price on all steaks. Our "local" which is a perfect place for a weekday dinner for family.

9.5/10Absolutely amazing steaks we had on 'Half Price Monday Steak Night'! We ordered a porterhouse and an eye fillet mains respectively and they were cooked to perfection (medium-rare as requested). Flavoursome, quite large in size and lovely tasting sides. Definitely returning as we are locals and it takes us 2 minutes to walk there!

10/10Friendly, warm staff. Fast service. The bottomless fried chicken was fantastic. We loved the array of sauces and the crispiness of the chicken. The sides were also perfect. Great value!

9/10We had the Gospel Brunch here. We had a great time! The music was great although not what I would call gospel, it was more R’N’B. The two guys that were singing are great and really interacted with the guests well. The food was decent although nothing spectacular. The drinks were good and there was plenty of choice. The staff were amazing and made our day thoroughly enjoyable.

8.5/10Great service and great food. Was very pretty when the food was delivered to the table. Every dish that came out was really nice. For the veal main it prob needs more condiments as the veal schnitzel was on a bed of French Fries only ... maybe add a salad and some other vegetables.

2.5/10We were very disappointed with the food. The fish was tough and inedible Two people ordered the same steak on our table and they looked very different. The soufflé was very ordinary.
