Delicious meal, but I I'll recommend anyone start with mild first, I east quite hit but medium was too much for me, struggling to finish the meal.

Fantastic food here but Service could have been better. The grey paint on the walls very boring but lovely crockery, cutlery, napkins & napkin holders. Please add some colour/decorations to the walls for a nicer atmosphere.

It's a BYO restaurant but we didn't know this until we were seated and ready to order. There's a bottle shop nearby so we dashed up and got a bottle. You really need to be prepared a bring your own wines. Overall excellent food. Some different dishes from the usual Butter Chicken, Lamb Korma etc. Delicious.

The decor and ambience was simple and effective. Food choice was wide ranging with clear descriptions of the dishes. Tucker was first class.

About the restaurant

En route for flavour North Lakes in Brisbane’s northern suburbs, isn’t where you’d expect to find a great Indian restaurant but The Spice Route manages to impress and surprise nonetheless. Open for takeaway, home delivery and dine in six nights a week (they are closed on Mondays), The Spice Route provides traditional Indian cooking served up by friendly wait staff and an appealing atmosphere. The medium-sized restaurant caters for small functions, family groups and dinner for two. The vibrant artwork on the walls, sleek chairs and cosy bar provide a backdrop for a memorable meal. If you hanker for Tandoori try the Punjabi favourite Murgh Malai Tikka (chicken Tikka or chicken pieces with aromatic spices and yoghurt) or the Tandoori Paneer Shashlik (marinated cottage cheese cubes on skewers and grilled with capsicum and onion). For vegetarians, the Hara Bhara Kebab is made from spinach, peas and potatoes, which are mixed with ginger and spices and shaped into patties and pan fried. Best dish: Goan king prawn curry.
