The four of us decided to drop in and have tea at The Springs Hotel in Waubra, after hearing numerous good reports, well we weren’t disappointed the ambiance and style & seating of the place was excellent, the menu had numerous choices, to please all.. The service & staff was efficient, welcoming & friendly, the meals were quite large & well priced, the steaks were cooked to perfection as ordered and the pasta dish was extremely flavoursome, the meals were certainly restaurant quality. If you are in the area, or driving past, we can throughly recommend a visit, you won’t be disappointed

This is our "go to" . Whether its two of us or 10. The food is consistantly good and the service is consistently fabulous. Its just a great place for a cosy dinner for 2 or group gathering with private areas. And parking is easy.

The food was great , good presentation, we wanted the garlic bread but were told they were out of bread, that’s fine it was Mother’s Day ???? so we opted for the pork spring rolls delish. Mains were ribeye for my husband and porterhouse chips and salad for me, the salad was dressed perfectly not one leaf left I coated. We finished up with sticky date pudding for my hubby and chocolate mud cake for me. overall the meal was delicious and we enjoyed every course, only let down was our waitress although tried to engage in conversation with was not open to any of it. We would gladly dine there again ???? Maybe different waitress

We really love this restaurant. The staff are friendly and the atmosphere is bright, clean and welcoming. It’s a great place to go when travelling between Avoca and Ballarat.

The Springs Hotel had a fresh country feel. The staff were all very friendly and the service was amazing. We had 7 kids in our group and as soon as we arrived they were taken care of with drinks and food orders. The food was lovely. We are looking forward to returning.

What a great find, recent renovations to the hotel were very tasteful. Excellent pub fare, with fresh quality ingredients used. The venison was cooked to perfection. Staff were attentive, and the manager was very knowledgeable about the wines on offer. Will certainly be returning to the springs hotel.

The food and service were great. There was a large party inside and the noise level was unbearable. We ended up going outside to the patio. That’s fine when the weather is nice but not so in winter. Will make me reconsider booking for a Sunday lunch.

This lovely old pub has had a beautiful face lift and is in great hands! From the moment we arrived the staff were welcoming and friendly, attentive but not over-bearing and genuinely provided excellent service. The menu is amazing, with some great meals you don't normally see on a pub menu and it was very hard to choose! We both felt that an entree "tasting board" should be on the menu so we could try everything! We chose the mushroom arancini and pork spring rolls for our entree and the salt & Pepper squid and venison for mains. Perfectly sized and cooked to perfection, our dishes arrived quickly and were absolutely delicious. Better than "pub Grub",, in fact better than many restaurants we have eaten at. The chef is to be congratulated on his compact but exciting menu which mixes classic favourites with some less well known dishes and includes gluten free and vegetarian options. We will definitely be going back to work out way through the menu! Definitely worth the drive with easy parking and a great atmosphere, be sure to go out of your way to enjoy a meal here.
