Food was great, but took just under an hour to come, and two of our seven guests had to leave before it was served. Should have been advised it was going to take that long...
Good food, great beer and super fast service in spite of how busy it was at the time. The Stables Bar is always busy and for good reason too. We’ll definitely be back again.
Another beautiful meal at this favourite in the city. We had an early booking, pre show and the staff were very attentive. Food was exceptional as we have always found.
Food is nice and reasonably priced, good variety on the menu. Nice atmosphere and good service. Great selections of drinks. Good for weekday lunches or drinks after work.
Good food and atmosphere. 2 choices of wine were unavailable and we had to purchase a more expensive bottle but it was of good quality
Great atmosphere, good service. Food was very nice and reasonably priced. Good wine. We chose The Stables Bar as we were going to the Fringe Show in the Basement at 8.30pm - so thanks for supporting Fringe.
A Friday night and it was very busy in the restaurant but the staff were friendly and attentive. Didn't have to wait long for the anything. Very enjoyable.
Great service, staff attentive but not over the top. excellent food. , good portion size and quality. Good atmosphere. Will definitely come back
Very friendly service from the wait staff. Lovely setting with fairy lights and nice decor. We've walked past lots of times, but glad we went in to check it out. Cocktails not great unfortunately, rather watery tasting....food fine though. I had a salmon entree paired with roasted cauliflower side which was very tasty. Music in dining room far too loud for conversation though.
Amazing food, great value for money and great choices!
Our table wasn't ready when we arrived and the service was a bit patchy but they were quite busy with a big 30th party outside. The 2kg lamb shoulder, cauliflower salad, mac and cheese croquettes were all very tasty. Wine selection was excellent and good value for money, would definitely go there again!
Booked and confirmed for Sat night with friends. Arrivwd on time to find a 21st birthday function and a 30th birthday function taking up the outside areas. This and indoor restaurant area was so noisy we couldnt hear ouselves think, let alone talk. Waited at the 'Wait here to be seated' sign for over 5 minutes with not one staff member even coming near us. Bar was very crowded, could get no assistance there either. Left to eat elsewhere, very disappointed. Have dined here previously and had a good experience but this time brought friends from out of town and were not happy at all.
The waitress was not friendly and not service oriented. A smile can go a long way.
Fan of the deco!
Great ambience and very friendly staff. My steak was delicious.
For all the hype, I was disappointed. We arrived and It took ages for someone to finally acknowledge us standing waiting at the ‘please wait to be seated’ sign. Service was erratic during the course of the night too.
We’ve been 3 times this year & service and food as always been excellent.
The young girl that attended to us was amazing. Her service was fantastic
Great food would go back
Great deco. Friendly staff. Good food.

Good enough for royalty
If the fact that Prince Harry dined here isn’t enough to lure you in then we don’t know what is! If it’s good enough for royalty then surely it’s up to scratch for you too. But seriously, all Prince aside, The Stables Bar really is a seriously cracking venue in the heart of Perth’s CBD. Situated at the end of Hay Street laneway the Stables features two levels of bar and dining experiences, including an outdoor bar with views of the city and a cobblestone courtyard that transports you to a calm oasis - away from the hustle and bustle of the city. At the helm of the kitchen is Ben Keal who presents diners with a refreshing take on modern Australian dining, creating honest, hearty food that’s designed to share. The crumbed zucchini chips with basil mayonnaise are painstakingly good as are the beef brisket tacos with grilled pineapple, coriander and jalapeño salsa. Whether you chose something from the all day grazing, main or dessert section you’ll be neighing with sheer and utter delight.
Best dish: sumac dusted lamb shank with toasted rye, cauliflower, harissa yoghurt and dukkah.
