Highly recommend. Everything was great.

Both our steaks were grossly over cooked and when we complained the restaraunt manager argued about it questioning the fact before accepting the complaints nt and offering to provide replacements. Steaks were served with hand cut chips, my portion were cooked nice and were tasty, my partners were served black anshould not have left the kitchen, again they were replaced. At $60 for a Scotch Fillet they charge fine dining prices and at best are serving average bar meals. No offer of price reduction or sincere apology was given. A terrible dining experience and we will not be returning.

Lovely place and great service. Just felt it was alittle expensive overall.

We enjoyed the seafood tower that had a great range of seafood and was huge. Too much for us to finish. Service was generally good and the view at sunset was nice. We were celebrating my husbands birthday. Unfortunately despite staff saying they would add a candle they forgot on the night.

The restaurant lacks a more classic setting, like table cloth on tables for instance. Just plain tables makes the restaurant looks more like a pub. It is a great location but probably not enough patronage. Food was quite good.

Disappointed with table request, didn’t get a view which is why we booked this restaurant. Some dishes over priced for what you actually get (ie pasta). Average service.......won’t we rushing back anytime soon......

About The Strand Restaurant

On a see-food diet Gather by Hobson’s Bay in one of Melbourne's most classic, yet relaxing settings. The bright dining space, delicious cuisine, beautiful views and friendly staff make this one of our favourite restos in Williamstown. The menu is carefully divided between ‘starters’, ‘field’, ‘paddock’ and ‘ocean’, and features everything from scallop ceviche to Gippsland grass fed Black Angus. There is also an extensive cheese menu and a selection of delicious desserts. Given the seaside location start with a few freshly shucked oysters and the tempura soft shell crab. Other menu highlights include whole South Australian rock lobster, 150 grain fed Black Angus and the Shellfish Tower. Trust us, food by the sea doesn’t get much better than this. Best dish: Shellfish Tower to share - whole king prawns, crab, scallops with garlic & parsley butter, battered King George Whiting, oysters natural and Kilpatrick, Port Arlington mussels in marinière sauce, french fries and garden salad.
