Great Restaurant - Service was very special - Food was out of this world. Wine list was well thought out. Especially impressed with wait staff, food selection and quality. Not a cheap restaurant but good value for money. Overall a great experience!

New Year’s Eve dinner booking. Waited a bit too long at th table before we were attended to (40 minutes) which put a bit of a damper on the night. Wine list is exceptional, service was very poor at the beginning however it improved as the night went on. We had high expectations when it came to the food, all I can say is that we both felt that it was above average but have had much better for much less cost. Would we return?? Perhaps, but certainly not on NYE.

Certainly deserves its high ratings. Had prawns, wagyu and creme caramel. Despite prawns appearing to be an over dressed pub dish, they were not only cooked perfectly, they had a real depth of flavour, so impressed. The wagyu dish was just excellent but nothing new. Dessert was nicely made but flavour was a bit weak in flavour and the ice team melted way too quickly. It's not an everyday place but certainly worth it

It was amazing experience to fine dine & to experience fine dining food but we both would like to take our hats of to our beautiful waitress that went out of her way due to our voucher problem last night you probably wouldn't of got that sort of service anywhere else it wasnt much but i hope she appreciated our $20 tip il will say we will be back again thanks

Amazing taste of the food that we increased with a great Chablis Premier cru. Oysters natural and spiced and an incredible dessert are the best memories of the dinner

It was our first time visiting the Stunned Mullet. We were impressed by how friendly the staffs were. The staffs were familiar with the menu and good at providing recommendations on the food and drinks. Secondly, the food was outstanding in particular the dessert. I would definitely visit this restaurant again!

This is one of our favourite restaurants in the whole of Australia. Port Macquarie is very lucky to have it.

About The Stunned Mullet

Food to shock and awe Anyone who thinks the food in Port Macquarie isn’t world class needs to think again. The award-winning team behind The Stunned Mullet has gone from strength to strength in the decade since they opened, turning out fresh and exciting food for their large base of local (and visiting) fans. The menu is broken up into “the smalls”, “the substantials”, “the incidentals” (ie sides) and “the sweet stuff”, and you could quite honestly just pick a dish by pointing your finger at the menu without looking and know that you were going to be getting something delicious. After all, how can you go wrong with a line-up that includes grilled lobster tail with ajo blanco, green gazpacho and radish, as well as confit duck leg with truffled mash and sour cherry? Or put your meal in the hands of the producers by choosing the “Fishmonger’s Choice” for your main, which will be a piece of sustainable, line caught fish (chosen by the local fishmonger, of course) served with an olive and panko crust on a carrot and lemongrass puree. It will be so delicious you really will be left stunned. Best dish: smoked eggplant terrine
