Excellent
An enjoyable lunch with friends. Food and service good. Alcohol expensive. A busy time so fairly noisy. A good experience today, but would not return in the near future.
Absolutely love the Tilbury, have been going there for 20 years and it never disappoints, food and service are outstanding. Love that you can sit inside but the open doors mean you are outside as well.
Great food more upmarket than your typical pub food. Our waiter was really friendly. Great atmosphere. Would definitely go back & recommend to anyone.
Excellent food and service
Went to The Tilbury on Valentines Day. Every table had a long stem rose on it which looked great. The service was great, all the staff was super friendly and warm. And the food was DELICIOUS. Definitely would return :)
Nice food, Well presented and flavourful. Service wasn't up to my expectations, but I've had worse. Surprising considering it wasn't busy. I think the server wasn't well trained and management didn't take the time to provide guidance. I'd label it dump and run, which is not unusual in Australian pubs but when spending over 100 on food and more on wine and ordering several dishes to share, I didn't think it acceptable.
Service was extremely poor - they were clearly understaffed. Food was very nice and with the exception of the extreme lack of service, it was a nice restaurant.
Seemed expensive for what we had. One of our party had a poor risotto, but the venue was very good & didn't charge for it. They couldn't have been more helpful.
Lovely food and great service
Caters well to groups.
Great venue with staff who know what they are doing... rare in Sydney right now
Staff are extremely friendly and helpful! Took our little baby in his pram twice now..very family friendly,
Great atmosphere. Lovely fireplace. Warm and quiet.
Amazing food and great atmosphere for a Sunday roast! We love coming here!
Good Sunday roast. Service was great and the place was busy, so had a good atmosphere.
Fantastic Sunday lunch and service was good to Can’t wait to go back
Wonderful, light and airy room. Stylish decor that hasn't dated. Delicious and excellently-prepared food! Amazing value
My guest and I went to the Tilbury specifically for the Sunday Roast and it was excellent! We definitely plan to go there again.
Excellent for Sunday Roast!

Meet you at the Tilb
The Tilbury has undergone an extensive makeover in recent years, which had made it a serious contender for Sydney’s best pub interior. There’s not too much glass, it’s still relaxed enough to lure the locals and slick enough to double as a popular place for groups and functions. Such as just getting your mates together for a drink and good meal to celebrate a non-milestone birthday. The a la carte restaurant menu tends to the sophisticated-sounding beetroot cured salmon, wasabi granita, avocado mousse and salmon roe or Cootamundra lamb rack, ratatouille, garlic puree, white anchovy beignet with prices to match. But on the weekends, at least, the bar menu is a far more easy-breezy line-up of spiced nuts, garlic prawn wraps, buffalo wings and wedges. All in all a great spot to while away a quiet Sunday arvo with friends over a glass or two of chilled wine or a midi of craft beer on tap.
Best dish: Chilli crab slider with lime mayo
