Excellent
This country pub doesn’t pretend to be anything more than it is, but offers a delightful ambiance, with attentive service, a roaring fire on a cold day, and a menu that offers a little more than one would expect.
Fantastic food, great atmosphere, good prices. Kid friendly, staff are very accomadating. Nice family pub without the roudyness of a kids play area, great for a family meal.
We were a booking of 10 having a late lunch before seeing Elton John at Hanging Rock! We were seated upstairs which meant we could have drinks on the balcony, the food and service were both excellent I would highly recommend!
A great country pub. Indoor and outdoor seating options. Staff very attentive and helpful. Gluten free beer and food too. Happy to spilt bills Thanks!
There were 4 of us. The service was excellent and friendly. Food was terrific, especially the Antipasto which would have to be the best in the Macedon Ranges. Compliments to the staff, chef and management for a great venue.
This was our first visit to Victoria Hotel, despite living in the Macedon Ranges for 7 years! I'm sorry we didn't discover it sooner, as we had a lovely meal with fun and friendly service from our waitress. Will definitely be back.
The Victoria Hotel these days is a great hotel We come here regularly and particularly love the amazing value of locals night Food is good and a drink is included !
We have given this place several chances. Even with new management the service continues to be pretty low. Waiting for 20 minutes after being seated for the waitress to take our drinks order and even then it was only after we motioned to her. Then waited another 10 by which time my husband had gone up to the bar to get our drinks. Food was solid pub fare except the ‘salad’ on my plate of calamari was a mishmash of old coleslaw with tomato and onions zzz inedible. Sorry but we won’t be back
Lovely dining atmosphere great food and welcoming service. Winter will be awesome with the fire going. Looking forward to another great meal soon.
We found the restaurant excellent, the VIC had an old world charm which was spacious and inviting. The four of us had different meals which were excellent and served altogether. The service was also great. We would all go back again Well done!
From the moment we walked in we were treated well. The Service was friendly, welcoming and professional. Timely delivery of our meals and the food was delicious. Great experience. Thank you. We’ll be back!
The service was wonderful, friendly attentive staff who were efficient yet relaxed. The service was prompt, food was served hot and was good value for money. Nicole, one of the wait staff was excellent at her job, a real asset to the business.
Very pleasant evening.
When you child on the way home says "that was the best meal", who can argue with that?
Good service and friendly staff
Great country hotel. Food was excellent, well above your usual pub offerings. Highly recommend their apple pizza dessert. Staff were very friendly and helpful without being pushy and the service was prompt. The atmosphere was welcoming with a large open wood fire burning. The main bistro area is timber and brick decor allowing easy conversation without the noise of other diners intruding even though the place was almost full. Also the restrooms were spotless.
Food was exceptional for a pub and loved the venue - beautiful open fire place!
As regional locals, we occasionally get together with friends at The Vic. The staff are generally friendly though a bit of formal training might not go astray. The food selection, while not huge, is varied and everything is tasty. Nice wine list. The hotel mid-winter can be chilly and while we made a special request when booking to be seated by the fire (on a night we know wouldn't be busy in the main dining room), we couldn't have been seated much further away. When queried about the request upon being seated, we were told reservations by the fire were not possible. It was disappointing to not be contacted (by text or email) to let us know. This certainly won't stop us from eating at The Vic, but possibly not on a cold winter's night.
Great service, atmosphere, and Oh My! The food was amazing... such an asset to the town. Will be going back for more!
Great atmosphere and food. It’s lovely for a big group.
