The ambience and environment was ok, but flavors of food was nowhere near the level I would have expected for a 2 Michelin star restaurant. The first few appetizers all had very strange tasting ingredient combinations. And the entrees were just so-so as well. Dessert was tasty and presentation was good though. Service also had a few major slips: First, we had to ask for the wine menu twice before they finally brought it (after the first course was already served), and then after the meal, we asked for coffee but then we're neglected for 20 minutes before being told that the coffee was forgotten. There were also ~2 waiters for every guest, and they were always running around in a frenzy. Not sure if these were a result of atypical Christmas day service, but overall I was expecting more from such a highly rated restaurant. I've had many better dining experiences at other 1-2 star Michelin star restaurants

Not the experience expected from a two Michelin star meal. The best part was the bread and butter that were exceptional. Most of the dishes were overcomplicated and had one or other element that kind of spoiled the dish.

Michelin star quality food all the way in a great setting. The best wine list and pairings of any of the restaurants we visited in Portugal on this trip. Service and ambiance were up the the high quality food and wine. Memorable. Highly recommended and worth making a reservation well in advance.

Wonderful place, nice ambient. The music was a little bit inappropriate for the atmosphere but not a great problem. What really disappoint me was the menu with the price that recieved my girlfriend (really inappropriate) also the missing coordination and communication between the waiters that asked twice for the order, clean twice the table, asked twice for the wine and for the water; there were more than ten people between sommelier and maître and waiters walking around the tables that made me feel unconfortable. Not a bad experience at all i recommend this restaurant to anyone but for my past experience in other michelin stars restaurant there were some small faults

The place is gorgeous and the food was good but I thought a few of the dishes were missing something and/or not the most delicious. I feel badly saying that because most were great but nothing that mesmerizing - and for the price I believe I should have had my mouth wow’d

3-4 dishes of the 8 course tasting menu was technique over substance and flavour, but an overall pleasant if expensive experience.. views over Porto wonderful.

After making the reservation and reading some of the reviews, I was unsure if it had been a good idea. I was worried that it would be too expensive and formal. I want to state that this was my husband and I first experience dining in a two star Michelin Restaurant. We loved it! We are strong foodies and the dishes were surprising and great. We love not knowing what is going to be served, and the Chef did not disappoint. The service was amazing, but not uncomfortable. We did not do the pairing with wine. We believe that for the experience and the quality and innovation of the dishes, the price was reasonable. We spent @$400.00 for both. We strongly recommend The Yeatman! It was a memorable experience!

Superb high end restaurant, food is amazing, 8 course degustation was inventive, with so many wonderful combinations of flavors yet was light and at tines so refreshing,. Wines were of the highest quality and the pairings with the food was without fault highlighting the best of Portugal varieties. Restaurant was formal yet fun al at the same time. The unique plate ware was as inventive as the food.

This was an experience! We love to try Michelin Star restaurants and compare them. The Yeatman did not disappoint. We dined there on my husband’s birthday and they went the extra mile to make it special for him. This was our first visit to Portugal and we hope to return someday.
