I always liked this restaurant when it was called Fieldhouse. Now that they’ve revamped it into Thomas Street Bar & Kitchen, it’s even better. The garlic bread was a little ho hum and the dessert selection small (bring back the Banoffee in jar dish!), but the mains were sensational and the service, as always, superb. I’ll be back - their trademark lamb is 2nd to none.
The service is exceptional. That is the real standout. You are right next to reception so there’s lots of activity around. Garlic bread was a huge serving, great if you weren’t having big mains. My husbands beef ribs were quite fatty unfortunately but I enjoyed my barramundi. It was really full of flavour. We shared a banoffee for dessert which was a good choice and easily shared. Cheap drinks between 5pm and 7 pm too.
Great place to eat quickly and see Viviid. Meals were very tastie and fresh.
They need more than 2 GF options for lunch. Compared to the dinner menu, the GF menu for lunch was disappointing.

I would like to see table cloths for better atmosphere
It was a nice and quiet spot for lunch and pretty good place for friends catch up. We enjoyed the beef rump and grilled salmon both served with tasty salad and crunchy chips.
