I was dissapointed with the prawn pepper fry, because the dish was saucy and the prawns were not fried. I really enjoyed the lamb cutlets and the goat curry. The cheesy garlic naans were really yummy on their own.

From start to finish you will have an amazing food journey at Thousand Spices. The prices are reasonable and the quality is off the charts. It's that neighbourhood gem that will have you travelling across Sydney even after you move. Family favourites are the samosas to start, sharing the butter chicken, palak paneer, prawn curry and goat curry over rice and garlic naan. Make sure to order enough for leftovers - you won't regret it.

This restaurant is a favourite for me. We are always welcomed , the food is excellent, as is the service. It is a BYO, but I forgot a bottle, but we still were able to order a wine. And it is very reasonably priced.

Amazing food and spicy food ever in sydney I have had till date. I loved their paneer tikka and the paneer mushroom tandoori gravy. That was the best. Would love to visit again just for the spicy feel. Love it!!!

Nothing flash, but the curries are excellent. Not much atmosphere mid-week, but popular on the weekends, especially with family groups.

About the restaurant

Land of Milk and Spicy

Thousand Spices is the hidden gem of Homebush. Once you get there, you’ll find yourself in a chilled-out place featuring auspicious red wallpaper and lively Indian music. The popularity it has achieved with Indian locals vouches for its authenticity and great taste. Why not follow their lead and order a big juicy kebab, or the rich and creamy rogan josh?

Thousand Spices serves exotic favourites like the sweet and tangy mango chicken and classic daal for the vegetarians. For a real treat, go for the tandoori platter which offers the best of Indian-style grill. For those of you who love spicy food, here at Thousand Spices you’ll get exactly what you’re after. Just ask, and the chef won’t skimp on the chilli. This is authentic Indian, and it’s done at a great price. Indian food is best shared with companions, so bring your chums and loved-ones along, and order several dishes for everyone to try. Too hot for you? We didn’t think so.
