Our home-made duck liver paté, soft beer cheese, roast pork pate served with a freshly baked pretzel and bread
Hungarian csabai sausage and matured edam cheese from our cold smoke-house, mustard, horseradish, pickled selection and bread
Good beer, friendly staff, Good atmosphere, great location. Beer garden out the back. Good variety of food and alcoholic beverages, would be a great place to have a party.
My family has been coming back to this restaurant for many years now because we love the vaue for money and range of delicious European dishes it offers. There is a great rotation of dishes on special, as well as an extensive beer menu from different standout European regions.
Great atmosphere, great food, great bier
Great food and excellent beer
The food and atmosphere were great, but the staff clearly did not want to be there and showed very poor social interaction with us.
Good quality beer and food
Good experience with authentic Eastern Europe atmosphere
Came here with a large group of adults and children, staff were helpful and friendly. Great atmosphere and good voice of food and drinks. The was a good variety on the Kid's Menu.
Traditional european restaurant in Sydney
Great selection of beer. Pork crackling and apple strudel was yum. Would visit again.
Food and beer is always great at Tommy’s
Awesome food for Easter get together
Awesome food, great booze, great atmosphere
Can't believe I'd never heard of this place - I really loved it and will definitely be back?
Have been frequenting Tommy’s for many years, and tonight’s meal was excellent as it always is. The renovations make it a more inviting and modern establishment, but the food remains delicious and like my grandmother used to make for me when I was a child. The large selection of Central European beer and spirits are cold and good value. It’s an excellent restaurant for a three course meal, or a great place to have a beer or two, accompanied by some bar snacks.
Good for a Euro fix.
I feel the portions are off puttingly large. Value for money is OK but both my husband and I groaned when the huge plate was put in front of us. The restaurant does itself a disservice as people are less likely to order entree, sides or dessert when they are overwhelmed by the main. The food was tasty but they need to rejig their portion size and step away from the American trend of more is better....it’s not! I left over half my meal, as did my husband, which makes you walk away feeling dissatisfied with the experience.
Outstanding dinner as usual! Lots of my guests told me how much they enjoyed the new cuisine. I celebrated my 40th and everything went well. Not sure if management advised staff of the cake and balloons that we were allowed to bring. But, still a wonderful evening.
Excellent traditional Czech/Slovak/German food. Always a pleasure to go back. Be prepared for noise with lots of people in the restaurant. Some staff could be a bit friendlier, but overall we keep going back. ??
Great atmosphere, friendly staff and the food is outstanding
123 Glebe Point Road, 2037, Glebe, Australia
The small-bar movement took its time coming to Glebe, but now that it has arrived, it’s certainly making up for lost time, no more so than at this Euro speakeasy. Tommy’s Beer Cafe embodies all the great things about Europe’s cultural heritage: hearty food, welcoming atmosphere and most of all, beer. The food tips its cap in all directions that are pseudo-Euro, with a few repeated nods in the direction of Czech cuisine, but the best thing about the food here is the ease with which you can match some great European ales to any dish on the menu.
