Tastiest kingfish sashimi I’ve ever eaten. Good cocktails, yummy sashimi, good entrees and the bbq cooked at table was tasty and fun.

Came here once for lunch before -quick service, melting wagyu, so I decided to book this place for a corporate dinner of 7. Behold, we could only book for 5:30pm or 7:30pm seating. The male staff on the phone kindly suggested we turn up at 7pm as I said 6pm was ideal with some travelling from the Blue Mountains! We turn up at 7pm on the dot to find our table is not ready so we waited at the bar. 7:35pm came, when I waved one of the waitstaff over, she wanted to take our order when I reminded her we are waiting for our table. She had forgotten. We were seated soon after however the first thing that came to our table was one entree - Agedashi tofu after one hour. We didn't see anything for another 30mins where it all started to come at once. It was just an unpleasant start to the experience. When we asked to order another 2 wagyu, the waitstaff came back about 15-20mins later to tell us it would take 30mins to reach our table. Mind you, we were asking for the wagyu oyster blade at $33 for 8 slices for us to bbq. This comes out raw, not cooked for us. They may have their wagyu frozen and perhaps the 30mins is to cover the thawing time? Not sure which but they must know better that people would choose a wagyu for bbq during winter and dinners. They ran out of the warabimochi and one of the dango in desserts. The waitstaff only told us after our order. They don't seem to communicate well with the kitchen staff or vice versa. Perhaps a digital ordering system would be useful that would live update and we wouldn't have to keep getting up and walking down to the bar to grab a waitstaff because they're running around nowhere to be seen. As a group, was very disappointing and embarrassing for the restaurant. Food was delicious but would not recommend a dinner here. It just so happens a footy match and a winter family event was on the same evening, regardless, we didn't feel looked after for paying $300 at the final bill inc. a 2% credit card surcharge (my card is savings but I only had my mobile app on me).
