As always, Tran's food was delicious - fresh, delicate flavours. Wonderful.
We had a great night at Tran's Restaurant. The staff were attentive and the food was DELICIOUS (although normally quite expensive, which is why we hadn't been as a group until The Fork Festival's 50% off special). We'd return just for that mouth-watering fish curry!
Food was really delicious!!
A long time favourite that never disappoints. Lovely welcome on arrival as always, the food is light and delicious so full of flavour and great value.
Very busy so service was a bit slow but we had the best Vietnamese food we’d had in a while - would definitely recommend
Produce very fresh and very well presented. Flavours subtle though. Wait service attentive & knowledgeable and service was seamless and quick. Obviously a favourite as restaurant filled up very quickly and many were regulars. Nice view of Baronia House opposite. Only downside is decor which is a little dated. We will be back.
Waited at the front door for 10 minutes to be attended to and seated. I nearly fell alseep waiting for the food to be served. Noisy atmosphere, loud customers. Food for alright but not outstanding. Dessert apparently wasn't half priced with deal but wasn't informed when ordering. waitress argued with us about this when paying the bill. She apparently showed us disapproval by thanking our tips and returning back to us. i only saw 2 waitress on the floor with a full house of customers, they looked stressed and hectic.
We’ve been to Tran’s many times and the food is always great. Tonight was no exception. Every dish was excellent as was the service. Loved it! Xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Nice upscale vibe and tasty food. Clearly very popular with the well-heeled older Mosman set.
Tran's is consistent in every way. Quality and variety of menu items is reliably top class. Signature dishes are found along with innovative new items. Atmosphere is charming and even though restaurant was busy, it was not noisy. Service is attentive and timely. BYO option tops off a perfect restaurant choice.
The food is amazing. Such fresh flavours. The fresh pork rolls come in 2s but as there were 3 of us they added another to the serving. Highly recommend the Green Buddha - crisp brussel sprouts, beans with mushrooms and other veg so very tasty. We also enjoyed the duck followed by the prawn curry. Amazing. Can't wait to go there again.
We sat down for more than 10 minutes with no menu or any service finally had to call the waitstaff and she thought we were ready to order. There was only two ladies working and one of them (she might be the owner) spent a lot of time socializing with the customers leaving the other lady on her own that’s probably why we don’t find attentive service. Food is not as good as the reviews online. At last we realized we got charged three dollars more than what was on the bill after we back home, don’t know why because credit card surcharge already calculated and listed on the bill.
friendly service and very busy for a tuesday night, so obviously popular!:) The pork belly was definitely the highlight but all dishes were good, thanks!
Food is quite favoursome and presentation is good. The boneless duck is considered average but the Hanoi fish and grilled pork have the right herb balance and acidity and nice. Service, regrettably is nonexistent unless you are a local or regular which is a shame.
The best Vietnamese we have eaten.
This restaurant offer a good food but we were very disappointed with their services. No one take our order, my drink and foods didn’t arrive until 1 hour after, an entree was wrong and have to wait for another 10 minutes. The main didn’t come with a rice we originally ordered. The Trans used to be my favourite Vietnamese restaurant in North Shore but after tonight we don’t think we will be back again.
While the food was tasty and authentic, it took ages to arrive and we waited a long time between dishes. It’s very over-priced, 50% off made it more fair. Would not return at full price.
The service very slow tonight. Take 20 mins to take an order, waited other 15 mins for entree. They need to improve their service mind. Food is fine.
I’ve visited this upmarket Vietnamese restaurant a number of times. The food is high quality and delicious. We loved the pork belly salad especially - really fresh and full of herby flavours. The prices are high, so it was great to have the Fork deal.
Wonderful food - delicate, fresh flavours, beautifully presented. We thoroughly enjoyed the unusual combinations of every choice and will definitely return.
