10/10We were greeted so warmly and served so beautifully. The food is absolutely superb, I love the 'waves of food' options; then they choose for you working around your likes and dislikes. The flavours and the presentation is simply delicious and delightful. I will be back! Well done guys!

8.5/10Went for the Rib Eye but they had ran out which was disappointing. Always good service & quality food/Wine though. The in house made bread & butter never disappoints!

9.5/10The staff were very welcoming. The share type menu was a lovely way to try a number of dishes. The food arrived quickly. It was fresh and very tasty. The oysters were particularly amazing as was the slow cooked lamb. We will definitely be back.

8/10Tulip catered seamlessly for food allergy with food which did not feel like a compromise from general diner's menu. All savoury courses were exquisite but the desert let the evening down. Food server failed to identify meals upon delivery & in one instance failed to identify the need for flatware, however the waiter was subtly attentive and responsive.

9.5/10Tulip is more than a restaurant. It is an experience. We love the food experience but also the knowledgeable, friendly and helpful staff. We left feeling that we had eaten beautiful, carefully selected food, drank great wine and had the benefit of wonderful experienced and attentive staff.

A hidden gem in Geelong's metropol
It's pretty easy to miss the latest restaurant from chefs Matt Dempsey and Graham Jefferies. Their restaurant Tulip is camouflaged as a hole-in-the-wall café in Geelong's metropol - narrow and quaint with a sweet table for two out the front masks its interior. But wait - just before you start worrying on their behalf about economies of scale, it opens up into a respectable-sized place with all the polished concrete, pale timber and decorative terracotta pots a diner could wish for (well let's face it, this decor almost a prerequisite these days). Tulip is a mix of well executed contemporary-ness, with trendy crockery and pleasing prices. The menu offers a wonderful mix of flavours and exciting dishes, inviting diners to share and sample everything. Spoilt for choice? You can simply ask for the ‘chef's selection' at $65 per person. Flexibility, simplicity and quality combine making Tulip a unique dining experience.
Best Dish: grilled octopus with chorizo, capsicum and fennel.
