Great brunch place with home cooked food including the biggest breakfast plate ($66) I have ever seen. All home made/ homegrown products. Got a free coffee as staff told me it had been served too late (5 min?)

Service was slow.

The service was appalling. Had to wait 40minutes for a drink ( came after the entrees) the waitress had no clue about anything on the menu - had to "double check" everything and the menu only had 5 items which were different to the online menu. We booked online but the waitress had no clue about our booking and we had to wait for the table to be cleared. There was no staff in sight to ask for additional drinks, never got asked about dessert although we saw others eating dessert and our table was not cleared between courses - we moved our dirty plates onto a spare table ourselves. The service was really non existent

Quick service although there were large bus groups that we made sure we ordered in front of. Good cheap eat in the Hunter and great selection of beers on tap

Currently they are in temporary premises as their new restaurant is being built elsewhere. Thus the facilities are not at the best ; good food and service though!

About Two Fat Blokes Gourmet Kitchen

Oh so phat! Run by a couple of rather rotund fellas, Two Fat Blokes Gourmet Kitchen is all about good food, great wine and sharing it with others. Set in the Hunter Valley this historic winery/restaurant was originally established in 1853 and it continues to deliver the very essence of the ‘Hunter Lifestyle’: lazy long lunches followed a crisp glass of vino on the verandah. The restaurant delivers all kinds of dining experiences, you can enjoy a delicious morning coffee and some breaky, a casual lunch based around sharing plates or a more formal dining experience. There is also an extensive range of authentic small goods sourced from artisan producers, plus they also have live music every Saturday and Sunday (weather permitting). Escape the everyday and get to this Hunter hotspot. Best dish: 300gm Angus Sirloin: grilled & topped with a bug mornay with potato gallette, roast parsnips & Tar 10 perserved lemon.
