Staff were courteous and welcoming Food portion was too small the place setting is good . Menu range can be expanded . The pasta was good but the flavour could be stronger

If I was at my local pub I would have been satisfied with Uccello - but the prices didn't reflect that and I was incredibly surprised to see the hat.

Great tasting food, excellent service and a fantastic ambience and setting. Bit difficult to locate, made easier with GPS and Google Maps and the staff at La Bopa who told us about the elevator!

As you expect from a Merivale restaurant great food, service and ambience. We started with a selection delicious antipasti wood fired oven baked prawns, tuna crudo, prosciutto and rocket along with some wonderful calamari fritti. Mains a perfectly cooked swordfish steak with caponata and pasta with crab and roasted chilli. Service from welcome to goodnight was welcoming, knowledgeable and professional. The restaurant overlooks the famous Ivy Pool.

We had a wonderful meal at Ucello. Both food and service was top class! The seating in a booth for our group was very relaxing and comfortable. Thanks!

Setting by the pool is pretty unique, but as a result seems a bit unsure if it’s a fine dining Italian restaurant, or a fun night out for groups with eclectic selection of background music. Great wine list, though selections by the glass priced a little high. caprese salad was excellent. Calamari disappointing - seemed over-cooked.

Delicious food, wagyu was too charred for us. We informed staff who advised will choose dessert for us. Was weird bill included steak and staff chosen dessert.?!?

Surprisingly good food. Was there on a Friday night and had excellent choices. Wasn't too loud either as we had requested a quiet table. Service was good as well.

We had frequented Ucello a few times before years ago but have not been for a while until we noticed the special offer in The Fork ; thought we would go again. The atmosphere n setting was lovely as always. The Manager n wait staff were attentive enough despite the restaurant being busy... Our Entrees were quite good but the Pasta dishes were extremely disappointing especially the Spaghetti Vongole. Firstly it came just luke warm n there was no taste n just shells n a couple of tiny bits of overcooked vongole. Tried putting salt n pepper to try n lift the dish but no chance!!! My son’s Wagyu steak was good though. The Manager did take the dish off the bill knowing that I was disappointed with the dish. We shan’t be going back in a hurry .

Came here twice in a week .. highlights were their entrees .. absolutely love the burrata, baked mozzarella, calamari, octopus, and tuna crudo .. into the mains had the pasta and wagyu rump (the latter was divine) pair with chips side .. and tiramisu. Coming here on a Saturday was also a plus since you can glide over to the pool bar after dinner. Service was also excellent across everyone on the floor.

I really enjoyed the atmosphere and the food. It was really good. I am hoping they will have another over, i want to try the 800Gr beef. I usually very fussy about Italian food, but this restaurant is really good :) will come back :)

Great pastas, warm service and relaxing atmosphere. The transition from pre-drinks at Ivy Pool bar to the restaurant needs to be improved. Waiter will chase you down to finish your drink / switch cups and then you stand outside restaurant awkwardly.

We came here to get the 800g bistecca (having recently been to Florence) & was absolutely satisfied. We also had a glass of Shiraz rose, wood fired buffalo mozzarella & broccolini on the side. Bistecca was cooked to perfection & melted in the mouth. Potatoes that came with it were outstanding too. Will be coming back again.

Great Bistecca, setting was ambient and service with a smile. 50% off deal with The Fork was amazing value for money. Shame was wet else would have grabbed a drink at the pool bar after.
