A regular lunch venue as it is close to work and the food is always good. they have a good variety of pub type food and not so pub type food which is great if you feel like something other than the standard fish and chips, burger or schnitzel. They did used to change the menu regularly but have not as often ( for the pub options) in recent years having the same burgers and pizza's. But still would recommend

Our work group of 10 people were here for lunch. The staff were very friendly and the food was really tasty. The only drawback was the volume of all the diners talking made it difficult to hold conversations. Not really anything they can do about that, but something to consider if you're looking for somewhere to have a quiet lunch.

Easy to book online. Great food and friendly service. Went before a Crows game so venue was busy but staff managed this well. Loved the happy hour high was excellent value and house wine was a reasonable quality

About Union Hotel

Betray your local for the night and pop into the Union Established in 1855, the Union Hotel has become a cultural landmark, known for pouring good drinks and putting up even better food. The outside still maintains an old-school charm, but the inside has been transformed into an up market dining and bar space. The main area is a classy sight; plush curtains hang in doorways and richly coloured fabrics cover low couches and mini stools. Centre stage however, is a giant backlit marble bar, boasting a huge collection of top shelf spirits, multiple beers on tap and a wine list dominated by South Australian makers - of course! The menu too is something special, ranging from the traditional pub plate to spectacular modern Australian creations. So, get down here if you’re in the mood for a pub meal with a touch of class. Best Dish: roasted Murray Valley pork belly with turnip croquettes, carrot puree, apple kimchi & yuzu mustard
