All staff serving us were friendly and cheerful. Service prompt and efficient. Quality and presentation of food excellent. Menu a little restrictive but still plenty of choice. Best eating experience we have had for some time. Will go to the Union again for another meal and recommend to others.

We would love to come again. It was rather loud throughout but that's probably due to the cricket fever and so we didn't mind too much aha x Food was lovely, waitress was epic :))

Good food although cous-cous dish was a lot of green leaf and not a lot of cous-cous but otherwise a great meal. Burger and salt and pepper squid dishes were delicious

The staff were amazing My honey mustard chicken salad was all lettuce, no exaggerating when I say there was 2 bits of chicken and 2 bits of sun dried tomato. The taste was amazing but no content in the bowl. The pimms jug was $30 and had so much fruit in it we only got 2 glasses out of the just

Everything was great and the only thing that was a little disappointing was the noise from other patrons who were having a loud time however I am sure that isn't the norm and I will be back again in future.

Menu doesn't offer as many options as previous visits but that could be due to the current situation. We both had the Eye Fillet steak that was quite expensive at $40. It was good quality meat but had been overcooked. We would be very specific with our order to ensure it was cooked to our liking if we went there again.

A regular lunch venue as it is close to work and the food is always good. they have a good variety of pub type food and not so pub type food which is great if you feel like something other than the standard fish and chips, burger or schnitzel. They did used to change the menu regularly but have not as often ( for the pub options) in recent years having the same burgers and pizza's. But still would recommend

About the restaurant

Betray your local for the night and pop into the Union

Established in 1855, the Union Hotel has become a cultural landmark, known for pouring good drinks and putting up even better food. The outside still maintains an old-school charm, but the inside has been transformed into an up market dining and bar space. The main area is a classy sight; plush curtains hang in doorways and richly coloured fabrics cover low couches and mini stools. Centre stage however, is a giant backlit marble bar, boasting a huge collection of top shelf spirits, multiple beers on tap and a wine list dominated by South Australian makers - of course!

The menu too is something special, ranging from the traditional pub plate to spectacular modern Australian creations. So, get down here if you’re in the mood for a pub meal with a touch of class.

Best Dish: roasted Murray Valley pork belly with turnip croquettes, carrot puree, apple kimchi & yuzu mustard
