Very good
This was one of those occasions where the food was between excellent and good, in my rating that quality will bring me back. I had a family occasion spoiled by poor service, but I feel that our waitress may have been very new to the job, moving from breaking a glass at the start to having to be summoned a number of times to doing her job. The serving order of food was also mishandled, but, hey, we’re there for the food, and that was a credit to the kitchen staff. I’ll be back! The strongly Italian orientation of the food was well sustained, from the mussels (actually deserved the “excellent” rating) and the risotto (very good, serving too large). The others had dessert and really enjoyed a kind of mini-tart with very good presentation
We've been regular visitors to Va Bene for many years. There was a nice vibe at Va Bene last night which was matched well by the service, staff and fine food.
Went to this restaurant without high expectations. Pleasantly surprised by the good service and great food. Would definitely return. They were very accommodating for foods I needed to avoid.
Beautiful food and service, what else do you need. It's even cozy and a little romantic for those nights when you when get away from the kids. Chef was nice enough to make me a chicken carbonara gnocchi as I cannot eat crab which was very accommodating as well ????
Breads, mains and desserts were without fault! Will definitely be back.
Quaint little spot, staff were friendly & meal was nice. Would certainly dine there again.
A lovely authentic Italian restaurant. It has an old school feel but a very comfortable setting. I loved my pasta dish... cooked to perfection and very decent portions. Will definitely be back to try the pizza next time.
Delightful friendly place, lovely food
Wait staff were excellent as was the food.
great venue, one of Brisbane's best kept secret.
Nice place. Service by Francesca was great.
Amazing food, it was a really lovely meal. Will be back again! Thank you very much for a nice time.
Great food, great service. Will return.
Nice atmosphere
Very disappointing experience. Have been here many times before. We had many options (Restaurants) to choose from and this was not the most convenient. We came back based on past experience. It was a staff christmas occasion and the restaurant closed its kitchen half way through lunch and just stopped serving. No explanation - Possibly due to low number of diners, but this should not have been my problem. We had to move to a different restaurant to finish our meal. You be the judge!
Awesome food and service
Good food in pleasant surroundings.
Always enjoy coming here. Undecover parking for lunch is a real asset. thank you.
We have been to this restaurant in the past 3 months it was fantastic then. Last night was so disappoining!!
Food was a little pricey.

All Goes Well - Specialising in dishes from the Amalfi coast of Italy is Va Bene Restaurant – derived from the Italian word ‘it goes well’. Situated at the Brisbane International in Windsor, this restaurant invites you to experience the simple pleasures of Italian food.Walk into a fine dining restaurant that exudes warmth with bright coloured paintings hanging on the walls and ceiling lights that emit an orange glow. Take your pick of seating either inside or if out on a romantic date, may we recommend a candlelight dinner in the balcony? Open for breakfast Monday to Friday and dinner Monday to Sunday. Va Bene offers an a la carte menu for dinner featuring different kinds of breads like bruschetta all’aglio (wood fired ciabatta bread with garlic and parsley), and crostino al prosciutto: wood fired bread topped with mozzarella and prosciutto. For entrée take your pick from the cozze alla marinara (fresh black mussels, tomato, garlic and chilli), or the crocchette di patate e caprino: potatoes and goat cheese croquettes. With quite a few mains to try, we recommend traditional pasta for mains like the gnocchi al granchio (gnocchi with blue swimmer crab meat in light cream chilli sauce), or the Neapolitan hand stretched style pizza, cooked at 400 degree centigrade with San Marzano tomatoes and Italian mozzarella; you can choose your toppings from the list. To end the perfect Italian meal with dessert, we recommend dolci del giorno, the chef’s Italian creation, or ask for the day’s specials. Best dish – Gnocchi al granchio
