Lovely welcoming tapas bar. Live music that was great. Lovely staff. Food was great but took ages.. I think about an hour to get our first tapas. Great place to hang out for the night though.
A waiter looked like he was bored and lacked enthusiasm, but delivered our food quickly and efficiently. Food was good overall, but a little pricey for what we got.
Food was nice but no atmosphere.
No more scallops on menu, which was disappointing. Atmosphere and service OK
Food was ok, and drinks so so. Service is the biggest let down, had to wait quite a bit every time to get a waiter’s attention. Service was kinda cold too. They should improve on this aspect.
Great atmosphere with ambient lighting. Service was warm but unobtrusive, and they provided recommendations when dishes were unavailable. Highly recommend the prawns and chicken skewer starters!
This restaurant is a really good surprise for me, staffs are very friendly and helpful, we felt very welcome as we walked in. Beef brisket was bit dry but everything else was amazing, pork ribs were so soft, the meat just fall off the bones, all dishes are good for sharing. It was my mum’s bday and they have the dessert on house and brought out with candles. It was such a nice experience with Vamos. Highly recommended.
Great location near theatres, attentive and great food. Solid choice for dining and would recommend. Pork ribs were meltingly tender, and tapas was inventive and tasty.
Went here with a 50% off on food offer. Been a fan of Spanish food for a long long time. The menus looked small but tasty, not a huge range for tapas but the list looked authentic and traditional. We ordered meatballs, calamari, chicken skewers, potatas bravas, prawns, chorizo tostados. Unlike a Spanish restaurant, we had to specifically ask for some bread. The staff were friendly, effcieint and knowledgeable and really helpful. The food all arrived very quickly. Surprisingly quickly. Almost straight away in fact. The meatballs, chicken, calamari, potatoes and prawns themselves had all been cooked to order, but the sauces and other pieces had not. The salsa with the prawns was a dollop of shop bought doritos type with some corn stirred in. The bravas sauce was out of a bottle squirted on top with mayonaise rather than cooked. The sauce on the meatballs tasted like pizza sauce. The deserts were very small but again ok, the flan was not flan, but it was a nice cold custard. It all tasted fine and worked, but was a bit of a let down to be honest. Glad we had the 50% off, as full price would have been a little steep for what we got. If you are looking for some fast food, that tastes ok go here. If you are looking for a Spanish dinner, go somewhere else!
Fantastic food and excellent service. Nice venue and close to the Princess Theatre so great for a quick bite between shows. Staff very attentive and helpful.
Food is yummy, but expensive. The venue was also very stuffy- I was sweating. Staff are friendly, and it’s a very relaxed environment- great place to get together with the squad for drinks, food and chats.
Easy to get to, very accommodating staff, prompt service. Small menu but very tasty and quickly brought to us. Good drinks menu and a happy hour!
Food and service were excellent. I thought the price of cocktail jugs was really high, especially for the amount of alcohol you got in them. Overall I like Vamos and would go there again.
Food and service were great! Great little place with a nice atmosphere. One of Melbourne's hidden gems.
Thanks. We all had a great night.
Great band, shame people try to talk over it instead of listening and appreciating! Great and relaxed atmosphere, good food and plenty of cocktail options!
The food is ok - patatas bravas was a bit cold, the albondigas lacks flavour and the brisket was too smoky for my liking. However service was great and prompt.
Food was below expectations and portion is very small. Brocollini dish was very disappointing; I could cook better. Generally the food portion is small and quality is average.
The tapas were delicious and the ribs just fell off the bone! Polenta chips, croquettes and pork ribs were delish. We did order the prawns but due to a mix up it was never delivered. One of the waiters happily and apologetically fixed our bill for us.
It's always a pleasure to come here, the food is consistently good and service is friendly
