Entrees were excellent. Mains were good.
My daughter and I enjoy degustation for our birthdays. Vanitas stands out as one of our all time favourites from the truffle butter to the flavourful tomatoes and the buffalo mozzarella to lovely surprises like the squid ink tuille, we loved every course. We would definitely come again. Loved it.
We had very bad service. The server was non attentive and barely came to serve us. We had to track her down every time we needed something. She was talking with every other guests at their tables and it was awkward for us to call for her. It was a very uncomfortable experience. She didn’t ask us how the wine was or the meal. Food was very good.
We had 6 course degustation menu. The food was really quite good. The service was ok, but lacked confidence and knowledge. The dining room is nice if not a bit drab - very beige - which is odd for a Versace restaurant. All in all the experience was fine. Nothing amazing but not bad. The wine list marks up were quite high and at times confusing and inconsistent.
Great atmosphere and service.
Entree was delicious but the main was average. Service was excellent.
Food and service were amazing was an amazing dinner
Good service although a little strained. Food presentation was attractive but the content was unacceptable. Fish of the day ( steamed red emperor) was well cooked but bland and tasteless. One menu read lamb rack and the other lamb loin. Husband ordered the rack but received the loin which was quite tough and not as expected. A pity as it was a special occasion and although we were served a complimentary dessert as compensation for the fish, it left us feeling very disappointed. Not our best fine dining experience sadly.
Service and food were both fantastic. I told them it was my birthday and got extra special treatment which was lovely, birthday sign on the table, complimentary Prosecco and chocolate happy birthday on my dessert. Very thoughtful.
The only negative was the lack of patrons on the night. We were one of three couples in the restaurant..
Definitely not fine dining. Very disappointing experience. Below average.
Davide looked after us incredibly well
This is probably by far the best restaurant I have ever been to from food to service to views I couldn't fault the experience I would highly recommend vanitas It is a must go for anyone who is in queensland
We had the degustation, delicious!
No atmosphere and were celebrating a special occasion but were not made to feel special. Did not have the choice of wine were requested either for two choices.
Duck was over cooked. Starter very small. Presentation of food not the best
What happened here? Previous visits were amazing Bad service Food was not to standard, poring over seasoned Poorly prepared and presentation ver average Over priced wine list
service is good food is just ok
Great food and amazing service every time.
Very good food with high quality of the products , service ok, but nothing surprising. Have been there for lunch. For the best restaurant at the Gold Coast I expected more.
