Waitstaff were run off thier feet last night, probably could have done with another one on the floor as service at times was slow. This did not effect their service though which was always nice! Food was as usual very nice.

About Vans Cafe and Deli

Wake up call This grand old dame of Cottesloe, down at the railway end of Napoleon Street, really was an old-fashioned delicatessen once upon a time. Now it’s a bustling all day eatery with a vivacious atmosphere that seems to overflow onto the pavement (dogs welcome, water bowls plentiful). It’s one of the trendiest cafes on a street of trendy cafes, and the food is as good as the coffee. The breakfast menu offers all the usual favourites; Bircher muesli, buttermilk pancakes and eggs all over the place, but for something to really wake up your tastebuds tried the spicy Indonesian fried eggs, with coriander, sambal, crispy shallots and lap cheong sausage. The sophisticated cuisine starts at noon. The menu offers a splendid array of contemporary fusion. For something exotic, try the blue swimmer crab linguine, or the masala spiced lamb rack. Best Dish: Lemon Tart
