Victoria is our favourite restaurant in Funchal.Having just spent a month on this beautiful Island we have had many meals in this restaurant and every visit you are warmly welcomed by the hosts , each meal is freshly prepared with top quality produce and freshly caught fish daily.It is excellent value for money and we cannot wait to return to Madeira very soon .Most of the customers are return visitors making this a very friendly atmosphere and enjoyed by all and wonderful staff who look after the customers so very well.

A very nice friendly restaurant, wonderful food and good service. Everyone extremely friendly and helpful.

Although the resturant is located near a busy road, traffic noise was not too intrusive. The staff were extremely welcoming and helpful and even managed to provide a sample for me to try prior to me ordering scabbard fish for the first time. The scabbard dish was very tasty and my wife's steak was superb. A very drinkable house white wine accompanied our meal and the evening was rounded off with complimentary shots of Madeira wine. All in all, a very enjoyable experience which we intend to repeat before we leave Madeira.

We sat outside and it was cozy and nice, though the road was quiet close - it didn’t disturb us. The food was amazing. The waiter also gave us good advice on a dish pairing. We enjoyed the dinner to the fullest. The local special fish - the scabbard - is served with banana flambe and is worth trying. Highly recommend!

Service was great that waitress/waiter divided one meal in two plates without asking. Good welcoming atmosphere and excellent food.

An excellent meal spoilt only by the noisy road we were alongside. We will go again as it suits us very well.

Surprisingly good in a potentially indifferent location. Noise from the traffic was a downside to be expected. Noise from a party in the next door bar who had had too much to drink was not but would, hopefully, be a rarity.

Great food & service. We shared a whole sea bream which was filleted & deliciously light , cooked to perfection. It came with boiled potatoes which tasted like home grown ones from Back home & a selection of fresh vegetables, again perfectly cooked. There was a great selection of deserts, all home cooked. We chose the almond & pear cake & the caramel & walnut cake. Both were to die for! I would love the chefs recipes. ???? Service was friendly & efficient with good recommendations. Excellent meal all round with a great bottle of sparking wine. Give this place a try!

Lovely food and great friendly service.

Staff were very good as was the food. The steak was cooked as requested, the vegetables were just right. The bill was very clear and well explained eg where the discount had been applied. The only minor thing is that the tables are very close together.

Our second time at this restaurant on this holiday. It has a cosy atmosphere, seems to be family run and the staff always show a high degree of friendliness and courtesy. Food is excellent. My partner enjoyed the tender fillet skewer and I chose the scabbard fish, which was cooked to perfection and extremely tasty. Desserts all home made and delicious if you still have room for them after the ample portions served.
