I think the menu is a little confusing.. But the service was great. The booking told me our table was only till 8.30 Which worried me. It would have been nice to be told that it didn't apply when we arrived.

I had booked our table through theFork for 10 people. When we arrived, the table was only big enough for 6 with 6 chairs around it and therefore had to seek assistance from a waiter to rectify this situation. Also, as a coeliac, I cannot drink beer and was really disappointed that their was no cider on tap, just a Strongbow cider in a bottle that had a splash of rose in it...? There were others at our table who would've drunk cider however that was the only choice? Please get cider on a tap!

Our experience was not nice at all and was such a shame as we don’t go out very often. Our entree came out the exact same time as our meal 40 mins later and was sloppy and mushy on the inside, the mains were ok, but then went to order dessert and got the bread and butter pudding and it was horrible! Looked like a dry bread roll on a plate and tasted the same! I went in for a refund as we couldn’t even eat it. At least we got the refund. We chose Walt and burly as last time it was great, but that was I’ve a year ago and the food ha gone downhill. Far to expensive for a pub meal feel

Maybe it was the time of year but the service and food was average. The table waiter staff were grumpy and less than helpful. We went and asked for some water for table because none was bought to us and we got a grunt. When I asked which of the three steaks was GF and DF i got a “ dunno”. So we worked it out for ourselves based on the sauces. It wasn’t like it was flat out busy either so don’t really understand. Also would bemefit from some air conditioning in the indoor area.

Didn’t have the table we booked in the dining area so was sat in the bar area. Waited over 25 minutes in line to order food and drinks as there wasn’t enough staff. Food was good and staff were working hard to try to serve us as quickly as possible.

About Walt & Burley

Waterside dining With one of the most expansive views of Lake Burley Griffin, a table here is hot property, especially as the sun sets. What better way to say goodbye to the day than with a margarita and slow cooked shredded bbq pork burger with jamaican slaw, aioli and a side of chippies. That is happiness is a glass and on a plate. Walt & Burley also offers a range of other dishes to suit all hunger levels. There’s small plates like pan fried spanish chorizo for those looking to graze and nibble, salt and pepper crusted squid and nachos if you’re feeling slightly more peckish, or salmon, fish and chips and hearty burgers if you’re downright famished. The Kingston Foreshore is alive and buzzing with great foodie destinations that are sure to impress. This being one of them. Best dish: Walt’s Best of Burley - chef’s choice of three meats, shoestring fries and jamaican
