When waiting to order at the bar the staff member looked at me then walked away to fill up water bottles?? Half the guests got their meal and had finished for at least 15 minutes before others got there meals and one was delivered after everyone had finished. We had to chase up the missing meals three times. This is not the first time this has happened at this place. The view of the lake is still not worth going there.

WOuld have been nice to had the music a little less so we could hear each other talk. I booked an outside table and this request was not honoured nor was I informed before we arrived. Food and drink as per standard as my previous visits.

The place was dirty, even the menus were filthy. Seafood feast comprised of half a plate of cold over cooked chips, luke warm boring calamari, two virtually inedible prawns (yes two because it’s a share plate lol). The oysters (all 4 of them what a joke) were fine because they are meant to be cold. Salmon and veg was ordinary. Don’t waste $84 on cold chips people this’s is no seafood anything let alone a feast. Service? What service? Do yourself a favour go somewhere else. The star was for the view. Wish we had gone somewhere else to see in the new year. Pathetic!!!

- Staff seemed disinterested in providing decent service, no smile or eye contact - Food took longer than usual to arrive, more than 1 HR wait. - The bread which the burger was served on was mouldy - very mouldy! Sent it back to to the kitchen and they didnt apologise , simply made the same burger on a different type of bread. - Small and overpriced meals. - Dirty tables and cutlery was not clean - The only good thing about lunch was my beer

The music was way too loud. We couldn’t hear ourselves talk. Great if you’re not interested in hearing the conversation but not when you’re there for a meal. Disappointing.

The food and service were great, but the meal sizes could have been a bit bigger, and the venue was very hot (33 degree day). But overall, a great experience.

About Walt & Burley

Waterside dining With one of the most expansive views of Lake Burley Griffin, a table here is hot property, especially as the sun sets. What better way to say goodbye to the day than with a margarita and slow cooked shredded bbq pork burger with jamaican slaw, aioli and a side of chippies. That is happiness is a glass and on a plate. Walt & Burley also offers a range of other dishes to suit all hunger levels. There’s small plates like pan fried spanish chorizo for those looking to graze and nibble, salt and pepper crusted squid and nachos if you’re feeling slightly more peckish, or salmon, fish and chips and hearty burgers if you’re downright famished. The Kingston Foreshore is alive and buzzing with great foodie destinations that are sure to impress. This being one of them. Best dish: Walt’s Best of Burley - chef’s choice of three meats, shoestring fries and jamaican
