Service was not up to scratch meal took approx 30 mins to arrive. We ordered the large share plate of lamb shoulder and sides. Whilst the food was good it was served just barely warm. We were not given any plates or serving utensils. We had to ask twice for these.

Walt & Burley is one of the best positions on the lake and generally has a good atmosphere.... but it is way overpriced for what your ordering ($26 for a chicken schnitzel, $15 for a beer) and the service was not great - guy at the counter couldn’t even confirm prices for us)

Too many doors meant too much cold breeze. I wore my coat the entire evening.

The servers were delightful but the arrival of food is a little slow. Fine for us as we were chatting but important to know if you are in a hurry. The food is lovely when it comes.

Nice location with lovely open fire. Good service but food a little overpriced for what you get.

About Walt & Burley

Waterside dining With one of the most expansive views of Lake Burley Griffin, a table here is hot property, especially as the sun sets. What better way to say goodbye to the day than with a margarita and slow cooked shredded bbq pork burger with jamaican slaw, aioli and a side of chippies. That is happiness is a glass and on a plate. Walt & Burley also offers a range of other dishes to suit all hunger levels. There’s small plates like pan fried spanish chorizo for those looking to graze and nibble, salt and pepper crusted squid and nachos if you’re feeling slightly more peckish, or salmon, fish and chips and hearty burgers if you’re downright famished. The Kingston Foreshore is alive and buzzing with great foodie destinations that are sure to impress. This being one of them. Best dish: Walt’s Best of Burley - chef’s choice of three meats, shoestring fries and jamaican
