We love this place. Their Sunday lunch three course set menu (four choices for each course) is great value - the food is always excellent quality, and the attention to deal with presentation is supurb. The location makes for excellent people (and pooch) watching over lunch! They change their menu seasonally, so we always make sure we go at least every four months so we don't miss a menu. The wine list is quite good, and very reasonably priced. My only criticism is the $6 per bottle charge for the on-tap sparkling water. That style of water service should lend itself to a much better value offering (such as Rizla, which has the same system and charges $2 per head for endless sparkling water). Overall, this is a Sunday lunch favourite for us; consistently high quality.
The atmosphere was great for an anniversary dinner: quiet, formal and romantic. The view was also lovely. Service was delightful. The food was great. We ordered the four courses, and by the end had eaten enough to be full. The five spice kangaroo was especially delicious.
Great food and a wonderful view. The stylish ambience is well suited to location and was matched with impeccable service. The fixed price lunch menu was good value for money with 4 options for each of the three courses. We will be going back.
the restaurant is in a beautiful location. the food was delicious and very well presented. the service was great. our favorite was the dessert. very refreshing and a good way to finish off the meal.
Waters edge is the best restaurant in Canberra by far We went there for my wife's birthday and were not disappointed we will be back !! Well done waters edge
Waters Edge Canberra went above our expectations. Overlooking Lake Burley Griffin we were impressed by the spectacular water view, the cuisine was really really delicious and beautifully presented. The customer service was awesome, the staff were very welcoming and attentive. We will recommend Waters Edge to our friends in Sydney who visit Canberra. Will definitely book Waters Edge on our next visit. Wishing you all the same exemplary dining experience we enjoyed.
The food was amazing, every dish had exceptional flavour. The service was wonderful and staff very attentive. Waters Edge is well worth a visit.
while my meals was fine, my husband commented that two of his four courses were a little bland. we were just generally a little disappointed & also felt that given the location & expectations the decor could do with a bit of an upgrade.
Excellent location with views of the War Memorial and Lake Burley Griffin. Staff are attentive and the food is outstanding. You can enjoy a three course lunch for $66 which is great value. I have dined here several times and have always been extremely satisfied with the restaurant.
This is the second time I have dined there and I have been impressed with the food (including small touches like complimentary tasters) and service on both occasions.
We enjoyed the interesting menu choice. Plate presentation was unique and the extra palette cleansers were thoughtful and tasty. The location with window seating is perfect for watching the view outside.
I had heard about this restaurant and wanted to see for ourselves. A birthday celebration was the opportunity. The waiter was delightfully helpful. He knew his food and wine advising and serving with skill and politeness. The four course lunch was so good. Each course, extra suprises and a birthday plate - all to ensure we will revisit and recommend.
The set menu was excellent: imaginative and well presented. A small range of good wines was well matched to the food. Service was competent and unobtrusive.
Excellent staff, exquisite food and atmosphere over looking Lake Burleigh Griffin. Thank you for the lovely Wedding Anniversary cheesecake which made this night very special.
lovely!- and it wasn't busy - good for us but bad for everyone who wasn't there.
The food and service were amazing! Despite the haze from the bushfire smoke, the views of the Lake and surrounds made for a thoroughly enjoyable experience. My Mum and I enjoyed a 7 course degustation menu with paired wine for a special occasion. The flavours of the food, use of local ingredients and the food presentation were spectacular!
What we most enjoyed was the creative menu. Not what you would typically prepare at home! Great venue for a special occasion. Not sure the local wine choice was great value though.
We enjoyed a wonderful dinner at the Waters Edge. The service was informative, considerate and professional. The dinner was delicious, with interesting choices for each of the four courses. We would recommend this restaurant for a special celebration.
The food and presentation was lovely and so was the gentleman serving us. The decor is not something that impressed me, nothing like that of fine dining. Location and view amazing
We had the chef's seven course menu. Interesting range of dishes but no wine matching option on offer. Lamb dish as main course was a favourite. Good scenery over the lake. Comfortable chairs.
