We were looking forward to our evening at Water’s Edge and were testing it out as a venue for my husband’s 50th. We left disappointed. While the staff were polite, they did not provide the level of service we’d expect from a fine dining establishment. The waiter leaned across our table to clear my dishes for every course, which was rather awkward. Our sparkling water was topped up with still water and our wine was topped up five minutes after it had been topped up by another staff member resulting in an over pour. The food was also disappointing. I found the mushroom risotto to be bland, with the mushroom thinly sliced and laid on top of the dish, the hazelnuts overpowered the dish. The dessert was frozen solid, and I had to leave it for 10 minutes, or risk it flying off the plate. The location is fantastic, but let down by the shabby interior and lack of ambience.

Situated in such a beautiful location this restaurant has great potential. However, the drinks service was next to non existent, having to gain the waiters attention to place our order and we weren’t asked if we would like tea or coffee at the end of the meal. The meals were beautifully presented but a little lacking in flavour and our waiter was unable to describe the dish as it was placed on the table, unlike the other waitstaff. My second time there in a few weeks so unfortunately I could not say these problems were not due to events on that night.

The staff were welcoming. The food was of a high standard. Great ambience. They also provided a small appetiser, bread roll and lastly a small sorbet to cleanse the palate before desert.. Would definitely go back.

This restaurant ticked all the boxes.... from the time of arrival staff were attentive but not intrusive. Tables with cloth tablecloths set the tone of a more formal venue to dine but it was about doing things well to a high standard rather than being formal. Everyone was treated with the same courtesy whether dressed formerly or casually. A complimentary starter arrived with our first drink. The three course meal was faultless in taste, presentation and the melt in the mouth meats. The mash potato is worth a mention « you must try it, it is the best » another complimentary dish, a sorbet to cleanse the palate. Dessert too followed the high standard of the previous courses. The restaurant delivers in all aspects of what one might want for a dinner out to showcase our beautiful city or for an intimate dinner.

Good service could not overcome the tasteless octopus entre. The potato croquette was cold. Fish of the day was good but green beans undercooked and basically raw rather than blanched. Overall there was just not enough taste and substance.

Lovely service & fantastic food! We’re fine dining foodies at heart and this place ticked all the boxes: perfectly cooked proteins from octopus to kangaroo, vibrant and balanced flavours, delightful wines on the menu to complement the dishes. We’ll be coming again!

We chose the three course deal, and we were not disappointed - options were good for each course. The portion sizes were reasonable and well presented. Service was attentive, and well-loved (did not feel rushed). Thank you for a lovely afternoon!

Delicious 3 course meal (although with a couple of extra palate teasers added). Can recommend and received a complimentary glass of wine. Looking forward to my next visit to taste delicious sauces.

We attended this restaurant for a staff dinner of 7 people and everyone had a great time. The food was fantastic we had the 3 course menu at $77p.p we were served quality produce across each cuisine with great plated presentation, we were lucky enough to enjoy two added 'on the house' items from the kitchen which were a great touch. They have an excellent wine & beverage list, location is beautiful, we would come back again.

Our whole party enjoyed the lunch, great food, great service would recommend to anyone. The location added to the experience. Some of the party brought gift vouchers for Xmas gifts

The food and service for our lunchtime celebration was excellent. The venue was relaxed, yet professional and even the two toddlers were provided with special attention. The plating of the food was fantastic and the explanations provided by the wait staff matched perfectly. We will certainly be visiting again.

Very disappointing, we were very much looking forward to our Lunch, the waiter although probably very nice out of work, only spoke in 1 tone and had no personality, meals were overrated and the deserts were pretty tasteless, overall very disappointed in the whole experience and will not return

Lovely lunch - attentive and welcoming, but not overpowering staff, a main with sides was more than enough for lunch, beautifully presented and great flavours. Will be back again soon.

Excellent service and wonderful food in a special location. I was very impressed by the extra tasting dishes and the effort made to accommodate diary and gluten free.

We were seated right near the window which was perfect for the view across the lake. Food was amazing and well presented. Went for dinner to celebrate our wedding anniversary, were given special treatment when I found that out.
