8.5/10Not sure about your $95 per person deal for a three course meal. That is what the restaurant offers regardless of your offer. The way you were advertising it suggested there was some benefit to booking through you. The food was very good and the location is great. The desserts were particularly good.

10/10The food was excellently prepared, plated, and paced with a knowledgeable and attentive staff. The wine pairings were interesting and complimented the food nicely. Lovely view across Lake Burley Griffin. Would definitely seek Waters Edge on our next Canberra trip.

6.5/10Overall it was disappointing. The staff were polite, but looked like they'd rather be elsewhere and they didn't make it feel special. We were seated by a door on a cold day, and the staff kept leaving it open when they served the igloos, despite us asking for it to be closed. We booked for fathers day and they asked if it was a special occasion, funny really when it was fathers day!. Food was good, but we felt like we were back in the 80's or 90's which may be the vibe they're going for. We won't be rushing back

10/10Degustation meal was very well paced and the courses were really good. We took the option to pair wines to courses and that was a good decision. Excellent, unhurried service and a great atmosphere. Expensive, but worth it.

5.5/10We have dined at Water's Edge on a number of occasions and have always rated it highly based on the presentation (the wow factor) and the high quality of the dishes, However on this occasion our expectations were not met. The desserts were particularly disappointing. Two were offered. The poached pear dessert was mainly a bland piece of cake with some quite small pieces of poached pear, a few tiny pieces of rhubarb, and some not very special ice-cream. Nothing of note in this dish. Equally the chocolate mousse dessert was nothing special. Entrees were okay. Mains just okay but no wow factor. Unfortunately when expectations aren't met then it just doesn't work. We probably won't be going back.

10/10We had a birthday lunch at Waters Edge. The food and service were quite exceptional and the little extra treats were a delight. The best dining experience we have had in Canberra.

9.5/10The food was incredible and the staff were lovely. The tables were pretty close together because it's a small place so you can hear EVERYTHING the people next to you are saying. Unfortunately the people we were next to made for a pretty uncomfortable dinner but that's through no fault of the restaurant.

9.5/10I have been going to Waters Edge (correct that to Water’s Edge!) for many many years. It has had the usual speed bumps at times, but I see it as a genuine fine food establishment. The service was first class by a very pleasant lady, nothing was any trouble; the food portions were well sized and showed provider confidence. Rate of service was at requested leisurely, My wife and I share our meals, so that both entrees and both main courses were shared; we were happy with all four. I had a similar first class meal about six months ago, and commend the restaurant on its successful maintenance of quality

10/10Went on a lovely romantic date at Water's Edge. Staff are amazing and very attentive. Cozy sophisticated atmosphere. The Chef and his Team's food and wine choices go together so well, it's not just artful delicious food - it's a journey! We had a lot of fun here for hours and sure to come back.. Outside near Parliament House can be a little dark at night so watch your step! Easy accessible parking right out front. Great location and views over Lake Burley Griffin if you'd like to try something different just outside of Civic/Braddon hotspots.

8.5/10We love this restaurant… the food was best we’ve had, loved all 5 courses. And the deal we got with paired wines… offered by restaurant was excellent.

9.5/10Restaurant right by the Lake. Easy to find parking. Intimate atmosphere. The only reason we did not give 10/10 as we were led to our table and left to to sit waiting for a while. But we can see the 2 waiter and waitress were working hard serving others. Just felt being ignored. I understand it was a NYD public holiday and it may be better with one more person. Anywhere once we were served the waitress and waiter were friendly and helpful. Food service was efficient. We had the 5 course degustation menu $115 pp. Food quality was excellent. Ordered 1 glass red wine & 1 non-alcoholic drink. Total bill was $302.40 ( this included a 20% NY Holiday Surcharge). Overall enjoyable & delicious dinner. I would recommend.

8/10The food at each of the courses was excellent. This was a set menu for NYE and we could not fault the food. The service was a little slow, and the temperature in the restaurant slightly too cold, though, but overall a very happy experience.
