Lovely venue by the water. Ensure to book a table if you plan to enjoy a meal here. The seafood platter was lovely. Remember that the is a $12 national park entrance fee.

Amazing settings to have breakfast with water on one side and beautiful mountains on the other side. Service at the bistro is pretty good as well. We had the Egg Benedict, the grande. Couple of shakes coffee and pancakes. The pancakes were a bit dry but all other dishes were amazing. Would come back again!!

I’ve enjoyed many wonderful meals here. The service is great, there’s a good wine list with some lovely wines to choose from. Food, especially seafood, is cooked very well. Staff are pleasant and friendly and the view of the marina and water is great.

Was very disappointed in this place with new owners. You were seated.(eventually) with one menu, one drinks list and left to fend for yourself. After watching a table have their order taken, I requested our be taken too, only to be told we had to leave the table & walk 2 doors up to order our meals & drink at a takeaway counter. Wasn’t told about the specials & felt quite isolated from staff. Drinks failed to arrive, cutlery was missing, no salt or pepper, hair found in our food, dirty glasses given fir drinks. Lunch for 4 cost 150 and expected a lot more for the money. This place used to be sensational, been here many times. It’s really disappointing unless your after a snack on the go. I took my family out for what I thought would be a lovely lunch only to be herded around like cattle. Will not be coming back any time soon

Lovely spot to eat after a walk in the park. No table service but the staff were friendly and helpful. Tacos and a steak sandwich to share ... both were really good!

Received our surf and turf without the surf (prawns) and was disappointed when it didn’t come with chips (salad only). Waiter was friendly and did correct the order immediately with no hesitation. Seafood pasta had nice flavor but was cold by the time we ate as we needed to wait for the order in error to arrive before we could eat. Friendly staff and calm, beautiful atmosphere

I have been quite a few times to the bistro , but I took my friend for the first time and I had to ask for the finished plates , glasses etc to be removed, usually the service is much better, so that was disappointing.

Would have liked a wider choice of menu including deserts and sweets selections to be available. Omy Lunch menu was available to choose. Lunch menu was good. Food and service were good.

Such a lovely location for this cafe/restaurant. Food was quite good, however service was quite disorganised. Shame that table service couldn't be provided for people eating in the restaurant, instead of having to join a long line of people getting coffees or take away meals. Great place for a quick casual meal but maybe not for a special celebration.

The Waterside Bistro is set among the boats at the Bobbin Head Marina. The food is of above average quality. The staff are charming, welcoming and friendly. The menu selection is not large but adequate enough to find something one can eat. I chose the sauv blanc my luncheon partner a beer. This bistro is worth the visit.

We arrived and stood waiting to work out if we should wait for someone to show us the table. Only one other couple seated, we were a party of 7. No one came, so we looked for our booking. We couldn’t find it. Finally we grabbed a passing waitress. Who also couldn’t find our booking. Gave us a table inside, despite all tables out available for the next 1.5hrs. To which our booking would end. They brought the wrong menus and seemed very unprepared for us and didn’t know what menu to give us. We had to ask where to order. We asked to be put on the deck they said we couldn’t because we didn’t book the deck, but the deck was empty. We pushed and got the deck. We finished our meal well in time. The food was nice and enjoyed it. They didn’t bring enough water glasses and forgot cutlery and additional plate. Sorry but we won’t be going back.

Service was excellent. Beautiful location. Nice touches like the linen tablecloths. Misting fans welcome on a hot day. Faultless and we shall certainly return again

The Waterside Bistro was an excellent find at Bobbin Head. Great setting by the water. A hot day but the water mist is a brilliant touch and there was an extra shade covering since our last visit. The food was exceptional and very well priced. We cannot find fault with the food, setting or staff. It seemed there were only 2 waitresses working on Saturday which was quite ridiculous for a restaurant that was full of patrons throughout the lunch period. We were given a one and a half hour timeslot which could have been obtained, with more staff working. However, our waitresses were run off their feet, serving inside and out, we had to remind one young lady we had ordered coffee after lunch. It eventually came, but it meant we overstayed by half an hour but also, we were not asked to leave even though the table was booked. We felt the poor girls worked so hard it would have taken just a couple of more staff to make timing achievable on a very busy lunch sitting. The waitresses were very professional in how they carried themselves, always with a smile. We witnessed a couple of patrons being rude to one of the girls which was so out of line, unnecessary and quite unexceptable. That being said, we would not hesitate to recommend The Waterside Bistro to any family and friends and we will certainly be returning. A truly lovely lunch.

Had lunch at The Waterside with my dad and was really impressed with the location, food and friendliness of the staff. We had the Barrumundi and the fries were big, fat and crispy! We’ll definitely be back

Great spot for Sunday lunch. Meals are reasonably priced (definitely Bistro style rather than fine dining) and good size. Chips were amazing! Kids can feed fish in Marina from the table!

Lovely site for a casual meal but the service , for the 2nd time was not great. Bringing a cutlery container with 4 forks and 5 knives to a 6 person table is basic. Slow to take orders, had to chase staff to order anything. Maybe there should have been more of them but they seemed more intent on clearing an empty table rather than seeing that seated customers were trying to catch their attention. We were allotted a 1.5 hour time slot and our order was taken after 30 minutes. Luckily there was no booking after us. But the setting is beautiful at the marina.
