The staff were very attentive and the food was superb.
Enjoyable lunch in great surroundings. Great food & wine
Beautiful Shiraz to accompany the beef checks. Really enjoyed their house brined Olive’s a and the chocolate and pear dessert I had was fabulous.
The food was amazing and the staff looked after us very well. They went out of their way to make sure we had an excellent experience. We went there for our 10th anniversary and weren't disappointed.
My group of 5 women friends enjoyed a delightful Sunday lunch with excellent wines. The food was delicious with good choice. On offer was a 2 course or 3 course selection with or without paired wines. The service was excellent and ambiance of the restaurant was wonderful too. The tables are spaced well apart so you feel quite private while dining and the noise level was very low so no difficulty holding conversation across the table. The views across the vineyards are superb even in mid Winter. A great dining experience!
The beef cheeks were amazing! The wine pairing was a bit surprising but totally excellent. Part of our table had to be moved several times because of the bright sunlight coming in from the ceiling. Although we ordered only two courses- a main and dessert- we had to wait until everyone else in the room was served their appetizer before we got our mains.
Imaginative, delicious food. Excellent service & venue.
The food was great. There was 3 in our party and we all had a different entree and main and couldn’t fault any of them. The fries were delicious and the service very efficient.
Friendly service to complement a wonderful meal. A beautiful menu with each unique dish prepared and presented with artistic flair and appropriately paired with great wine. Thanks Westering for a really enjoyable experience and a memorable afternoon.
Food was very good but the lack of experienced staff let this down. The entrees were both wrong and one of the mains. It’s a limited but good menu so hard to understand why this would be so. Would say the chips were absolutely fabulous and it’s very pretty in the vineyards..
The food was great, service was great and the wine was great. A great place to linger over a long delicious lunch and have a few drinks on a rainy Sunday
Wonderful food at Westering today. Our main courses - beef and pork belly were cooked to perfection. Desserts and entrees were also tasty and presented artistically. The ambience is great - looking out over vineyards and Lake George. The one disappointment today was slow and inattentive service. Overall though, a great lunch !
Outstanding food and service in a peaceful an beautiful vineyard location. Great wine pairings and innovative, imaginative and delicious food
Great restaurant with a lovely vineyard setting. Two courses were great value!
Food was sensational, wine was fantastic and service was exceptional. Beautiful venue for a romantic meal or a family gathering. Very reasonably priced too
Such a special meal. The food was superb, the chef is so very talented and creative and the team are really efficient and friendly. We will have no hesitation in recommending Westering.
We went for lunch on Valentines day, therefore it was pretty busy. The food was good but the service was less than expected. I had to gently prompt twice to check on our mains which seemed to have been forgotten or overlooked. People who arrived after us has their orders taken, meals delivered and were out the door before ours finally arrived. Then had the same thing happen when I ordered coffee. In fairness when I paid the bill they took off the price of a glass of wine and one dessert and apologised for the delay. It detracted from what has been a good lunch. Perhaps because they were busy they had pulled in extra staff, but they seemed hesitant and unsure and questions about the menu went unanswered. Might try it again on a less busy occasion to try again.
We had a lovely lunch together and were made feel most welcome. The food was delicious, especially the salmon and my partner enjoyed the Chardonnay, while I loved the sparkling Rose. Thank you - we will be back again
The Westering Restaurant in the vineyards on Lake George is beautiful located. A fresh atmosphere with attentive service, casual and or smart dining. The menu varies with food superbly presented & prepared, delicious. The local vineyard wine selection accompanies the menu, the Shiraz perfect to the beef; a lovely red perfect for our luncheon. High recommended.
We had a wonderful experience today - wine tasting by Sarah ( the owner) which was very interesting including a gin tasting followed by a delicious lunch. We did support local and purchased some wine . Thank you Sarah and Zelka!
Slight hiccup with nibblies arriving with entree but both entrees and main exceptional quality. Wine was excellent and priced reasonably. Highly recommended
It was surprisingly excellent. From being welcomed and served was first class. The food we all ordered I must admit was perfectly cooked and presented. Service was very good. Will be coming back soon and will be recommending.
The staff were excellent, the food was excellent and very well priced. Great location and very relaxing. Food was served promptly and we were out in just over an hour, which was greatly appreciated. Great food and excellent service thank you
The restaurant is in an amazing winery and has fantastic views of Lake George and the vineyards. The staff were friendly and attentive. The food was good without being amazing but unfortunately the portion sizes were a little small meaning it was not great value for money.
I recently dined at Westering for my partner’s birthday. The service was good and the food was absolutely delicious! We thoroughly enjoyed our meals and the beautiful views.
The restaurant has great atmosphere. Staffs are friendly and welcoming. Most importantly the food was amazing. We enjoyed so much!!! Thank you
The food, wine and staff were lovely!! Perfect afternoon spot outside of Canberra. And the cellar door was fantastic. Will definitely be visiting again, hopefully soon!
Great location but food and service were really disappointing. Waitress was surly, like a teenager asked to clear the table by her mum. Most of our food was served cold (hot dishes) or straight from the fridge (grilled vegetables). Fies were hot but arrived as mains were finishing. Didn't stay for dessert.
We were a little disappointed, minimal menu, no beer at all as they hadn’t received a delivery and the place looks a little tired.
Great location great service-we Had a wine tasting at our table if the new wines-highly recommend the Winery and restaurant
