No record of our online booking when we got there. We managed to get into the main dining room. Wait staff were nice and helpful. Food pretty ordinary. My ragu pasta was sparse with meat and pretty cold. I didn’t sense the presence of a chef in the kitchen…rather a couple of cooks. It’s a great venue and a shame it appears to have lost its edge.

Very nice venue close to the Bendigo Gallery. Beautiful historic building. No windows so that may disturb some people. Home style dishes offered for lunch.....which suited us. Attentive efficient staff. Would return.

We were looking forward to a nice experience and booked esrly 5.30 sitting. Wine was awesome and food not too bad either. The dissapointing part was the pressure if being told to vacate for the next sitting which was at 7.45. They also put a sign on our table whilst we were dining that it was reserved for the next person, with their name on it. Clearly there was plenty of time in beteen and they could have waited until we left the table to put the sign on. The dining experience was definitely lessened by the lack of attention to us.

Great food. We all ate from the blackboard menu and it was generous in serve with great flavours. We matched it with two very different Rieslings. The two Tonne from the Tamar in Tassie was the standout.

Wine Bank on View is my go to restaurant when in Bendigo. wonderful range of wines and the food is always exceptional. the staff are so friendly and helpful. Love being able to sit outside and watch the world go by. Highly recommend this gem in Bendigo.

This is an interesting place with a good wine store that you can purchase bottles from and consume with a meal with a reasonable corkage supplement. The menu offering is tapas style and was good, although we felt that some larger share plates (raciones) would have made things even better. The wine list (without choosing a bottle from the store) is also good.

This was my second visit to your fabulous restaurant. I am completely in love with the whole experience. My preference has always been to experience as many flavours as possible without filling up beyond comfort, so I generally order, when with family and friends, a selection of entrees for the taste of everything. This is the magical thing about the Fork. That’s it’s whole premise. The staff are unbelievable friendly and share a great sense of humour. The food is to dream of. And setting is calm and casual without pretensions. 5 stars out of 5 is not enough! Thankyou. We’ll be back (copyright to Arnold) ! ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️

We had an amazing experience at the Wine Bar at View. Loved the whole ambience. The food was just a culinary masterpiece. When you see the menu it doesn’t prepare you enough for the tasting experiences. The Staff were a treasure. The wines are beautiful. Really married with the actual food superbly.

Lovely food, well cooked and great waiting staff but the kitchen let them down. We waited a long time for our food and didn’t get our meals together even then and the chips we ordered to munch on while we waited came last after we followed up twice! We usually have lunch here for my daughters birthday and the kitchen usually does better than they did today.

We were immediately suspicious, upon arrival at one of our favourite Bendigo restaurants, that most of the tables were empty and remained empty, during our hour of dining - in the normally very busy period, one week before Christmas. We asked for our four shared orders to be brought out individually and were assured this would be the case. They came out two-at-a-time - this was not a huge issue. When ordering the Pork Terrine, the waiting advised us that the kitchen staff had neglected to have this prepared, so it wouldn't be available for another hour. The Seafood Spring Rolls lacked in flavour and the contents were dubious. The Garlic & Chilli Prawns were over-cooked. The Chicken Liver Pate was great, with quite a large serving. The Traditional Italian Style Meatballs were great. The glass of sparking shiraz from Macedon was great, so I asked for the price of a takeaway bottle. I thought this would be good for our Christmas dinner. This is a 'sales from the wine cellar' business - right? We were never told the price, so they missed out on that sale.

The wine bank is well established here in Bendigo but we haven't been much. It's fantastic. Great food, exceptional service and amazing selection on wine. We had a fantastic experience and will definitely be back. Highly recommend.
