Where do I begin! So it was my girlfriends birthday coming up and she started tagging me on Instagram in this igloo at fedsquare. I kept telling her no no! But secretly I had already booked an igloo for a night away from our 3 kids which is a very rare occasion. I had everything planned for months. I rarely ever get to do anything for her as I work a lot and so does she and between the kids and all of that we find it hard to find time for each other. I just wanted her to have the most magical night. We started the night out at Holey Moley now my girlfriend is a little like ‘boujee’ and I was super worried about taking her to mini golf! However we had such a fun time. Then to follow on we had a nice beautiful dinner down hardware lane. To end the night and go out with a bang the Igloo was our last destination. We start walking and she still has no idea where we’re going! She sees the Igloos and starts jumping up and down like a fat kid about to eat pie! We go in and it looks amazing! In we go to the igloo. It’s cold! I’m confused! I look outside and there and heaters! In between the outside. But I’m cold! Inside an igloo? Is that even a thing? Well apparently! Down we sit and the rude waitress comes in can I start with drinks! Beer or wine! Okay love we’re good how are you? Bit cold? Us too? There was one blanket. But our seats were separated by a table! Guess who got the blanket? In come our drinks and our ‘Grazing Box’ aka a bunch of god knows what slapped onto a pizza box and $50 a head thanks! Personally I’m not sure what others feed their dogs but I wouldn’t even feed that to a pig. Ps I’m absolutely starving because I couldn’t even bring myself to eat it. Completely embarrassed that I ended the night with this I was gutted. The look on my girlfriends face was pure disappointment. And to be completely frank she eats chicken from the fridge that’s been sitting there for 5 days. She also drinks 3 day old milk. Not so fussy you see. Boujee but not fussy! Out comes the pizza. Guess what is the same box that the grazing box came in! Burnt to a crisp at the bottom! Now I’m a lover of all things crust! But that! I think I may have chipped a tooth! I ended up eating around the crust! Still starving but it’s all good! Keep reminding myself we’re together. We’re in love. It’s all good! But slightly scared when she sees we just paid $100 for that! But you guys saved the best until last! I don’t even know what you want to call that dessert. But my girlfriend took one bite and I’ve never seen someone in my life pull a face like that. I used to think she was hot so thanks for ruining her face. At the end we still had around an hour to be there. Nipples all frozen off we decided to go back to the place we were staying. At least we had two blankets there and even though it wasn’t an igloo it was much warmer. I promised her next year I’ll buy some glad wrap and build us our own igloo pretty much the same! But wait there’s one more. The absolute highlight was those killer tree branches with cotton wool stuck to the ends! Mate you’ve outdone yourself there! Anyhow the service was appalling. But I’m honestly tired and my thumbs hurt. And I can’t be bothered getting into that. The two at the desk at the end were great. I wasn’t going to bring it up but my girlfriend said if I don’t she will and it would have been a lot nicer coming from me. They offered us 50% off. Cool! Still had to pay.

Thoroughly enjoyed our evening in an igloo. We went as a family for a special occasion and everyone thought it was a great and unique thing to do.

Was a fun activity, something different to do in the city - perfect start to our day/night out. We took our daughter to Disney on Ice so we thought it capped off a great day. The value though wasnt't really there, whilst the food was nice (and just enough) it was incredibly overpriced - $98 ($49 PER PERSON) for a shared box of antipasto + 1 pizza + 2 drinks. Kids meal was good value at $19.

I was extremely disappointed with the service I received. I had booked this as a surprise for my boyfriends birthday who had flown in from Adelaide and left extremely upset over what occurred. Online I had booked premium package with the vegetarian platter. When we arrived we were put in a corner igloo next to kids banging on our igloo on numerous occasions with people loitering right outside. We were rushed by a staff member when we decided to add extra appetisers. After our drinks were delivered we were told our espresso martini’s would be on their way next. I then double checked the platter was vegetarian only to have the staff member run out quickly without saying anything (obviously our request was not read). The martini’s never came and we received the platter (which was all over the place and nothing like the pictures online), a extra pizza and appetiser that we added all at the same time (by a different staff member). The original pizza then came out a while after this and some espresso ice creams - all of this was just quickly rushed on to the table and didn’t allow for me to ask any questions to staff. 15 minutes before our time was up, someone finally came in to ask if we wanted any drinks and I asked if our arancini balls, espresso martini’s and dessert were coming only to have the staff respond with ‘oh they gave you the standard’ - no apology at all. So we just left. The ice skating rink was also tiny and completely packed - with every kid having something to hold on to. Obviously being school holidays - it should have been better organised. It wasn’t managed well and didn’t allow for anyone to actually skate around much at all. I was very upset leaving, as it was advertised to be something that was entirely different to what it was. I felt so embarrassed to have booked this as I haven’t been to the Winter Village in Adelaide a few years back, which was so much more enjoyable.

For what we paid for, the antipasto was slapped in a pizza box that looked horrible and all the antipasto was mixed in with the dips and olives, not very appetising or presentable. 1 pizza between the 2 of us is not enough at least give us 2 pizzas for the price we paid. Dessert, well i don't even know what that was, just horrible and again something on a stick

Generally it was a pleasant night at the Winter Village. However the food variety is limited as we purchased the normal pckage. And we expected it to be more warm and cozy.

The music was a real mismatch for the setting - it was horrible and lowered the experience. Everything else was great.

Loved the food and drinks package, and service was lovely. If we visited again I think we would book at night, as there would be a bit more atmosphere with the lights etc.
