Cute decor. Walking in felt just like being in Japan. Very friendly staff with a warm welcome, but definitely not the most amazing ramen I've ever had
Amazing food! Very fresh sashimi and extremely good mocktails. What a gem in the city!
Food was average
Good food and good service.
My favorite Izakaya in Sydney.
nice food, just a little bit expensive and not enough quantity .
Great food with variety of wine selection, Love the atmosphere. But still a bit expensive with the 30% off.
Average Japanese food in Sydney
Nice restaurant with a good menu.
I do not live in Sydney, so I go there every 3-6 months, last time I had set lunch around $28, which was very good value. But, this time I expected to get the same one but, not in the menu anymore. I think all sashimi were flesh and tasty and still good value of lunch set.
Karraage chicken was great and the green tea cake and ice cream is definitely a must try. Great and fast service and plenty of variety on the menu.
Not a bad choice for Japanese food. Yakitori was quite good. Quite pricey though
Just like you are in Japan!
Food was delicious and really cool place
Good location Good service Decent food portion size
Easily got a seat on a Mon evening. Food was on the salty side, and slightly pricey given the size of the serving
services were great and love the fresh sushi
Food is ok and good atmosphere for groups
I come here regularly. It is not a fine dining place but food is decent and proper Japanese chefs are there to make sushi and other dishes. Grilled food can be improved a bit. Grilled mushrooms were really nice but a lot of meat items in the assorted dish were really dry and hard to eat. They were really overcooked. Otherwise food came out quite quickly and the service was good. As a Japanese person I miss Japanese pub style meals & atmosphere and this place is a good place to go. Only thing is that I wish that female and male toilets are not in the same area.
We expected the portion sizes to be bigger given the prices.
55 Dixon Street, 2000, Haymarket, Australia
Located in the heart of Chinatown, Yebisu Bar & Grill boasts an easy, convenient location as it is situated right in the CBD. It offers an izakaya style of eating, which translates to ‘sake dining place’. The dishes are tapas-like as they are small, allowing you the opportunity to try and to eat more. Alongside this is an extensive list of drinks, including sake, shochu and non-alcoholic drinks. Bring a group of friends or family and enjoy!
Best dish: Baby clam sakamushi.
