Beautiful setting in the hunter valley, the staff were lovely, the food delicious, coupled with gorgeous weather, sitting outside was a treat!
We were drawn to Yellow Billy for the fire cooked food, which is a welcome point of difference in the Hunter Valley. The pork was delicious as was the broccoli with house made Harissa. Staff were welcoming, attentive and faultless. Will return soon
Fire has been tamed in the Hunter, Yellow Billy gave us the best food we have ever had up there, they have mastered the fire pit, the pork was succulent and the crackling stupendously good, beef was melt in your mouth and the lamb tender and sweet. But..... that tiramisu, we could only manage to share one serve between us but it was amazing. We shall be back.
Great bbq style food in a beautiful setting. The vineyard is beautiful and so is the wine. And the service is amazing.
Always a great experience.
Caught up with interstate friends here over lunch and we were all so impressed by the service and the food. The staff made us feel comfortable during our seating. Would definately come back next time we are in Hunter Valley.
Great food and location
Excellent food and service experience
Second time back and must admit it’s better it’s getting. Nice to see management read my request that I had my grandchild with us and they made room in advance for him 10 out of 10 for this. Loved the new wine list excellent offering from the Hunter and around Australia. Food and service was excellent and keep a bit of room for the lemon myrtle cake WoW.
Very friendly staff and great food.
Great value and delicious food. Nice to have "simple" but well made comfort food in a fine dining everything area. Would definitely go back. Try the wines as well, my favorite!
great food love the smoking/cooking rig wine was amazing and they had a Captain Sensible beer for the desig. driver. Loved it and the wine tasting was made special for us we will definately go again and recomend
Brilliant feast so much food with the banquet
Really good atmosphere and friendly staff
We enjoyed a sensational meal with a group of friends. Hungry from the day's journey, we arrived with big appetites. A word of advice: be guided by the wait staff recommendations or risk over-ordering! The quality of the food was excellent and enjoyed by meat-eaters and vegetarians alike.
I think more soft surfaces need to be added as it became very noisy and hard to hear someone at our own table speak. At the time we were there it was not hot enough for the aircon but needed some air flow as more people arrived and the sun shining on the windows helped to make the interior on the stuffy side even though the doors were open. Also, because the doors were open there was a problem with flys.
This was great comfort food, felt like a home-cooked meal with a classy twist. Not surprisingly the wine was spot on and the staff were friendly.
Wonderful meal. There is little a restaurant can do about it but spending a few hundred dollars on lunch shouldn’t be accompanied with toddler table banging, crying babies etc. They are beautiful children just not for other diners :-(
Great food and environment. Food was serve really slow.
We experienced a lovely father’s day lunch with great service and suggestions around the menu. Children aged 9 & 11 ate from the adults menu & enjoyed. Great food to share.
