After being at the Melbourne Cup Races all day, it was lovely to repair to a beautiful dining room upstairs in the Chloè Room. The service was excellent, both friendly and efficient. We all ordered pork belly. We found it to be a bit dry without the normal fatty richness. We would prefer the traditional crackling to the white crunchy accompaniment. Because it was very busy, we did not register our observations at the time. Our overall experience was most pleasant and I would always go back to this iconic pub.

We dined in the upstairs Lounge. Everyone enjoyed their meals. Obviously, the food is not as great as it is in the Restaurant next door, but the prices make it affordable to enjoy a relaxed night out with the family.

Staff removed dirty plates too quickly before all group (4) had finished. Made you feel they were rushing you.

I thought the staff were friendly and prompt with service ...the food was ok but I've had better...the snitzel I had was slightly overcooked which was a shame but all in all I enjoyed the experience. Well done guys

I took my friends visiting from Perth during the AFL Grand Final long weekend. The bar was busy and buzzing and the restaurant was quiet. Both presented very nice atmosphere. I understood the place was busy so our orders took 45 minutes to turn up. I had the salmon. The presentation was fantastic but the food was stone cold. That was very disappointing as it would have been such a fantastic dish to have. That was a big let down to me.

Received great assistance from staff during a medical incident-much appreciated. Service was fine, but I think the one waitress who attended us was responsible for too many tables. She was attentive, but didn't have enough time to spend assessing and discussing our needs. No criticism of the waitress, but of an inadequacy in the staff/patron ratio.

It is a great venue and meeting place when the family descends on Melbourne. Service is fast, staff are knowledgeable and friendly. It pays to make a reservation as then you won't be disappointed. I highly recommend this venue as a great place to eat.
