About Yummy Kitchens

Yummy in my tummy It’s a pretty safe bet that if you’re at a restaurant called Yummy Kitchens, it’s not going to be a snooty, fine dining establishment – but it is going to make your tastebuds sing. And that’s what the regulars here rave about: the extensive menu, value for money and tasty dishes with just the right amount of spice. Boasting that they use only the freshest ingredients and banished MSG from their kitchen, Yummy has all your Asian favourites to eat in or takeaway. You might want to start with the Thai fish cakes or the sang choi bao or perhaps a warming soup is more your style – there are plenty to choose from, including hot and sour, short, seafood with tofu or shark’s fin (not the real deal, so if you’re concerned about sustainable seafood, you can relax). Chef’s suggestions include more unusual fare such as steamed duck with crab meat, or the rainbow steak, shredded and stir-fried in Peking sauce. The very extensive menu also has stir fries, laksas, fried rice dishes and dine-in only specials which are more than enough to tempt you to linger over dinner – with soft shell crab, whole barra or flounder, and a 2-course Peking Duck which you’ll need to order 24 hours in advance. Best dish: Eggplant hotpot
