The Best Restaurants in Reservoir, Melbourne (VIC)

A slowly up-and-coming suburb, Reservoir is a neighbour to Preston and 12 kilometres north of Melbourne’s CBD. Reservoir is still quite a residential area, but plenty of Thornbury and Preston-loving folks are moving a little further out and starting to fancy it up a bit. Wander the local streets, and you may find Italian families making the tomato pasta sauce or with a yard full of fruit trees and vegetables.

Nearby Zagames is a large bistro-style family venue on Edwardes Lake. There’s a kids’ play area, seniors’ night, bingo and a TAB, with traditional pub grub on the menu. The Rose Shamrock is a classic Australian pub dining experience. Nearby Hardings Burgers serves burgers every which way you could want them - with haloumi, super spicy, veggie, or with lamb (the Lamborghini, of course.) Keep your eyes peeled for new cafes popping up in little pockets of this suburb - definitely one to watch.
