Cottlesloe is situated halfway between Perth’s CBD and Fremantle. Much of the action is centred around Marine Parade, the main street that runs along the ocean and is home to plenty of cafes, restaurants and bars. Cottesloe Beach is a safe, calm swimming beach, lined with huge Norfolk pine trees. There’s not much surf, but it’s perfect for a family day out with an eco-shark barrier.
Sunday sessions are popular in Cottesloe, at the many beachside pubs with ocean views. Back from the beach on Napoleon Street, you’ll find modern bakeries, designer jewellers and surf wear stores to shop up a storm. Be sure to check out Cott and Co, a beautiful spot right on the beach, for a long lunch or sunset dinner. Enjoy local seafood and meals with a focus on local Western Australian producers. Take in the view from Cblu at Ocean Beach Hotel on Marine Parade. Pizzas, salads and sharing plates are all on the menu, with a DJ every Sunday afternoon. The Albion Hotel, near the Cottesloe train station, was built in 1890. The indoor/outdoor venue offers traditional pub fare and feelgood vibes.
