Here’s where you’ll find some of Sydney’s best Indian food. Harris Park is all about Indian cuisine, as well as that from neighbouring countries like Pakistan and Nepal, with a concentration of restaurants along Wigram Street. For South Indian vegetarian thalis, Masala dosa, Pakistani curries or Indian sweets, Harris Park delivers.
As you wander Little India, feel like you’ve transplanted yourself to a Bollywood set, with shops selling saris, arm bangles and Indian spices. As well as the subcontinent community, Harris Park also has a significant Arabic population, so it’s great for Lebanese sweets and treats. Close to Parramatta train station, Parramatta shopping centre and other facilities, Harris Park is a mix of heritage housing and new apartments. If you’re visiting with the family, get the kids to cool down at the James Ruse Reserve Water Playground before warming up again with some spicy dishes!
