McMahons Point is a harbourside suburb on the Lower North Shore, just 3 kilometres from Sydney’s CBD. It’s home to the famous Luna Park and boasts enviable Sydney Harbour views at every turn. The suburb has a small village vibe. Have a relaxed meander through the streets, filled with historic cottages and terrace houses. Around the foreshore are extensive, lush gardens and green spaces.
When it comes to culinary delights in McMahons Point, Blues Point Road is home to restaurants with reputations that attract foodies from all over. From Indian to African, Italian, modern Australian and Japanese, everything you could desire is here. Miller Street is another food hub in the suburb. Settle in at Sails on Lavender Bay for superb Opera House and Harbour Bridge views, complemented by fine dining with white tablecloths. Moorish Blue is a North African restaurant, dishing up food from Morocco, Tunisia and other locales. After a feed, you can relax with a shisha pipe in the garden.
