Really enjoyed our visit to Bay Tandoori
There’s more to the north side of the Harbour Bridge than Luna Park and the North Sydney Olympic Pool. Jump back on the train from Milsons Point and you’ll find the bustling suburb of North Sydney. By day, the area is populated with corporate businesses, however by night and on weekends the neighbourhood flourishes.
Twice-a-month you can visit the weekend Northside Produce Market for organic produce and gourmet food. Discover the tranquil Wendy Whiteley’s Secret Garden, a neglected garden that has been transformed into a beautiful picnic spot. Or visit one of the four unique historic museums in the area.
There is an abundance of local restaurants serving gourmet foods, from casual eateries to waterside fine dining. Dine to your heart’s content on Japanese, Italian and Indian cuisines. The altitude of the area means you’re able to be away from the heart of the CBD, while still enjoying the harbour views. Start your morning with breakfast or brunch at Treehouse, and laze in the afternoon with an Indian banquet at Lavendra. Alternatively, finish off your day with a drink in the beer garden at The Greens and dine family style with your friends, ordering off the share menu. Jam-packed with food- sounds like our kind of day.
