Waterloo is an inner-city suburb, with a mix of new housing developments and commercial/industrial areas. It’s an increasingly buzzing community as more people make the shift to living in the suburb.
The dining choices in this particular neighbourhood are concentrated around Archibald Avenue and Danks Street, with lots of cafes for daytime dining. This is the spot for brunch or grabbing your morning latte to kickstart your day. There’s also a pocket of restaurants at Crown Square Plaza. Dinner in Waterloo might consist of Vietnamese, Japanese, Middle Eastern, pizza or pub fare. Casual dining is the focus, with options to suit diners at all times of the day. Waterloo is easily accessed by public transport (Sydney Metro plus buses) but is also a walkable distance to the CBD (around 45 minutes) if you’ve got some time up your sleeve.
